An S.S.S.S. (lol)
||A Unique Situation||
Skipp, Stone, and Vinnie were out and about on their daily pickpocketing sess.
So far they'd collected 2 whole dollars worth of fortune– dang!
They had just located their next target...They closed in from behind the clueless woman, their eyes on the prize- when suddenly the sounds of shouts reached their ears.
They all whipped their heads around, met with the sight of a police officer heading straight for them from across the street. Weapon at the ready.
"Crud- run!"
They sprinted away, dodging obstacles in their path. Making a sharp turn into an alley, the three bolted in and flattened against the wall, holding their breaths. Luckily, the officers just passed them by. They sighed, relieved in unison. However, now inside, they quickly realized there was no way out.
They couldn't go back out the way they came, now that word was out about scraps caught in the city stealing riches. They didn't want to be caught. The alley they were in was a dead end, completely empty except for a few waste bins, trash, the usual. There was some ivy growing along the side of the building that was currently hiding them in the shadows. The surrounding walls were way too high to climb, either.
So they kept brainstorming, until Vinnie found a potential escape.
"Guys, over here." She motioned to a gap between two buildings at the end of the alley, now visible with the ivy out of the way. If they squeezed, they could fit. They had just gotten Vinnie inside when the stomps of nearing the popos, who'd discovered their hiding place, approached. And this time it was more than one set of feet.
The nearest officer sprung into the alleyway entrance, locking his gaze onto the three- who fumbled to get the remaining through. In a panic, Skipp and Stone both half shoved half shouldered themselves sideways into the gap simultaneously, just far enough so that the policeman couldn't get to them- yet.
They knew that they couldn't rest now, so they kept moving frantically, only to realize they were stuck chest-to-chest in the gap, pressed tightly against each other.
"Vinnie, we're stuck!!!"
Vinnie tried pulling them from a distance once she was free on the other side, but to no use. The officer's reach was growing closer.
Vinnie scrambled to formulate some sort of solution–
before bolting.
Leaving Stone and Skipp stunned at first- before they heard her yells:
"HEY ALL YOU MFS, HERE I AM, CAN'T CATCH ME-!!" The cop leaped away after her, buying the two some time before they could even thank her. Of course, there would be time for that later.
Once they got out.
If they would.
After the spur of the moment, the two remembered that they were trapped again and just kind of paused for a beat before struggling hectically again. Eventually they ran out of energy and stopped, breathing heavily- which was pretty awkward considering it was right in each other's faces.
Stone turned his head so that Skipp's face wasn't as close to his, and so that he wouldn't have to look him in the eye. Skipp was entirely oblivious to his actions, however, because he was busy scanning the area for any sort of useful tool or something to help their predicament.
