When my seventh period had finally ended I ran through the halls. Though I was quickly caught be the Leo and Luna. Welp now I am part of a trio. fun. that was sarcasm if you couldn't tell.
I walked out of school silently as Luna and Leo talked quite loudly.
Soon Leo had to turn down a street leaving Luna and I to talk. We talked about straight up weird stuff then ended up talking about the school day and how boring it was.
Luna turned at a random street and waved to me saying goodbye. I waved back smiling.I still can't believe I made two friends in under 24 hours. Is that even possible?
When I got home I trudged into the kitchen after tossing my shoes by the door. I walk over to the pantry and grab a bag of chips silently. I yell to make sure that if she upstairs that she can hear me ,"Mom! I'm having a snack!" I sigh as I remember that she was going to be working late again.
I walk up the stairs a step at a time hoping that I don't wake up the dog who should be sleeping on the couch. I open my new bedroom door and peer into the blank walls with boxes lining the edges. The joys, I still have to unpack. The only thing I've set up so far is my bed, not a comfortable one at that. So I walk over to my bed and sit there as I hear the springs groan beneath me. I sigh and eat my chips silently hoping that I won't get bothered for the rest of the day.
Once I accomplish eating the whole bag of chips I crumple it up and put it on my bed as I think about everything I could do before bed. So I walk over to a random box and dump it hoping nothing breakable falls out on me. Thankfully a bunch of music and movies posters came rolling to the ground around her feet. The events of school came back in a whirl and I started chuckling to myself cause I had met a guy named Leo. How ironic.
I found some pushpins and silently grabbed my phone in search of a good music artist for unpacking. Thankfully I found a good one fast so I could start unpacking faster. So I started hanging up the many posters I had brought along.
I quickly finished hanging the posters which got me happy so I smiled a bit. I walk over to another box and dump it out not even thinking about the weight of the box. So all my expansive belongings go tumbling to the ground. Great. My computer, small printer, and my headphones make a depressing noise as they clatter to the ground around me. I laugh a bit at my stuff as I think about how much trouble I would be in if any of this had broken.
I scramble to the stuff on the floor pleading that non of it had broke in it's fall to the hard wood floor. I let go of the breathe I didn't know I was holding when I realize nothing broke. Maybe a few scratches but nothing that would harm the usage of them. I started searching all of the boxes to find my desk that had to sadly be taken apart for transportation. Once I finally found it I went to a different box for my tools to build it.
A few moments later I was stuck shoveling it across the hard wood floor pleading to every god in the sky that it wouldn't leave behind a mark. I finally got the wretched thing into its place at the end of my bed lodged in a corner. I grabbed my computer off the ground and place it on my desk. I then placed the small printer in the far corner of the desk, the left corner closet to the wall.
I continued dumping out the boxes in my room until I had successfully found my shelves which was the fifth to last box. I sighed and went to open my door because I had the wrong screwdriver. I leaped backwards as I saw ice forming around my door frame. I started panicking at my door handle pleading that it will let me escape. I felt my hand grow warm and I slowly looked down at my hand as a mushy feeling flowed through my fingers and I stared in horror as my door knob melting through my hand and to the floor.
I screamed and leaped backwards feeling some of the melted handle still on my hands as I fell to the floor. I felt my hand touch the ground and I panicked hoping that I hadn't burnt the floor with the melted metal. I stare at the ground as I process that my entire hand print was burnt into the ground. I look back at the handle and watch as it dries into a melted mold of my hand.
I waited hours for the ice around my door frame to melt and when it had successfully melted I tentatively reached for the door as I pleaded it wouldn't melt again. I closed my eyes and grabbed the handle as my hand fell into the place of the mold. I smiled when I didn't feel any metal slip through my fingers.
I slowly opened the door where some ice was still positioned in the doorway which I hoped would melt before my parents got home. I shut my eyes and place my hand on my forehead and start questioning how I will explain it to my mom if it doesn't melt. Hopefully she would be too distracted by by brother, Max, to notice. My brother is eight years old and has unintentionally taken all of the attention from our parents. So hopefully it would be the same as usual where mom would walk right past my room without acknowledging me.
I make my way down the steps and found the tools in a cupboard under the sink trying to ignore everything that had happened. I marched up the stairs hoping that the stairs wouldn't just become some random ass thing. To my absolute horror more things happened to me later on in the night.
I had successfully placed the shelves on my walls without dying. Though when I decided to put the wretched screw driver back in it;s place it decides to become a fucking magical item and become a popsicle. I decided to scream at the top of my lungs and throw it across the kitchen.
I decided to not touch anything for the rest of the night and sit criss cross apple sauce on my bed staring at my wall. That was how I spent the rest of my night. Around nine o'clock I heard the door creak open. They must be trying to keep a secret from me or think I'm asleep cause they walk past my room whispering with my brother laughing a bit.
I wish dad would come back from work so that we could sneak down the halls whispering about the things we bought that we should not have gotten when unsupervised. Though sadly he got a promotion and started coming home around half past twelve or spending weeks doing something for his work.
I hear mom open the door as she whispers Max good night, without ever noticing that my room ever existed. I was left with sitting in the middle of my bed pleading I didn't harm anyone or burn down the house. I couldn't harm my brother like that. I now have a new fear. The fear that I have done something illegal of some sort.
Around eleven o'clock my eyes grew tired and I struggled to stay awake with the impending thought of harming people continues running through my head. After about ten minutes of fighting myself about falling asleep I had lost to myself and fell down onto my pillow and dragged into the abyss of darkness called sleep.
