Melody quickly grabbed her phone and answered the call. She didn't take the time to see who it was.
Harsh breathing was heard on the other end and Melody held her breath.
"Hey Kiddo." Melody's dad finally spoke and Melody sighed. Wait. How was he calling if everyone was unconscious?
"Dad I need you to answer this question very carefully. How the hell are you calling and not unconscious?" Melody listened quietly as there was a pause on the other end.
Her dad finally answered," Kiddo I need you to listen very carefully. We come from a long line of people who wield a special ability. Or multiple in your case. There is a man hunting you down currently and you are not safe in that town." He paused,"Do you have anyone with you who isn't unconscious?"
I nod and then remember we are on call,"Yeah."
Her dad spoke again," I love you kiddo, be sa-" A crashing sound was heard on the other end and the call ended. Melody started screaming her dads name fully well knowing he wont answer.
The next thing Melody knew was feeling Luna hugging her. When did she get here? Melody took a deep breath and she felt light headed. Is her dad dead?
She started having a panic attack and could hear luna trying to calm her down. Melody tuned her out and felt the edges of the world grow dark.
The last thing Melody felt was falling into Luna.
Then darkness.
