Y/n's Point of View:

THURSDAY JUNE 24TH, 1832

I was sitting at the Amis, I had Courf on my left and Marius on my right. The two were constantly glaring at each other, with me in the middle.

Apollo spoke about the upcoming rally, "Who's witty enough to set the stage?" Marius chuckled, "Oh Courfreyrac is full of wit, he would be happy too, but he cares about his ex-girlfriend more than this." I shook my head, "We probably shouldn't have the rally anyways-" I started trying to inform them about Javert's shift. "If this is about me missing your party Y/n, we went over this" I grunted "It's not about the party! It was never about the party. It's about Javert having a shift during my party. It wouldn't be good for you to show up at home being revealed as the leader of a secret revolution!"

Enjolras quirked an eyebrow, "Y/n where did you hear this?" I sighed, "From Javert, he told me he couldn't attend because he was working, I was going to mention it but I'm currently stuck between thick tension." I said signalling the boys "Courf. Marius. go outside and figure this fight out. Y/n when should we reschedule then?" Both boys groaned before they stood up and went downstairs, "I'm not sure. Maybe we should go to father about this. It wouldn't hurt to have his advice?" I replied shrugging my shoulders. I looked out the window to see Courf and Marius pushing each other around, arguing. My shoulders grew tense, I watched the boys but listened to Apollo,

"That shows Mum we're weak. It's not worth it." He said rubbing his temples, "Then we go to his work. Figure out where he's going to plan this and ask him and his friends some questions" I said "That's good. We'll do that on Sunday, he doesn't work then but he's always at his office. It can't be for his genuine work." Enjy said snapping his fingers at me. My eyes widened when I watched Courf take a punch from Marius, "Uhm. Excuse me, I'll be right back" I said excusing myself, Gavroche tugged on my skirts, "Where are you going? Can I come with?" He asked hopeful "N- No Darling. I will be right back, but you must stay here" I said smiling at him, he beamed up at me and went to bug Grantaire by the window. He looked at me annoyed, I quickly pointed to the window, then to me, his eyes widened. I pointed then at Gavroche and to a corner away from the window. He understood and led Gav that way. I sighed a sigh of relief making my way quickly down the stairs.

Madame smiled at me, I smiled back and rushed out the door,

"Do you two have no common sense?!" I yelled pushing between the pair. "Really? It was funny as children but this is just immature. Am I really getting between you two?" I asked a hand on each of the boy's chests holding them apart. Marius pushed my hand off darting at Courf again, I put a hand around his waist trying my best to stop him, "Not you. He thinks Cosette is nothing but a street-whore!" Marius, again, pushed me off of him as I stumbled backward. Courf caught my fall and then proceeded to fight with Marius again. "I did not call her a street-whore! I said she clearly cares about what she looks like! You got annoyed that Y/n doesn't and I got mad!" He replied pushing Marius in the chest.

"Excuse me!?" I shouted "No Y/n I didn't mean it like that- I just. He wants me to marry you?!" Marius yelled in disbelief, turning towards me, and shoving Courf off of him again.

"Everyone wants me to marry you! Ever since I was a child it was the great debate of 'Courf for Marius', Gav wants me to marry you, Courf wants me to marry you, my Mum wants me to marry you, hell! Apollo wants me to marry you! This isn't new Marius, just because I introduced you to a girl, that doesn't give you the right to start getting mad at people when that's all you wanted to do as a child!" I sighed "This is ridiculous you two!"

"Well, maybe I shouldn't come to your party then," Marius said looking down, finally putting his hands at rest, "Maybe you shouldn't Marius if you take this much offense to a silly comment."

Marius went inside in defeat as I looked at Courf, "You two are best friends, you can't let that come in between you!" I said slapping the side of his head lightly. "I want someone good for you M/n. And I thought that was Marius. But the way he talked about you. I just got mad. I don't really think he meant it the way he did. But he said it. And I couldn't help myself I love you." He said putting his hands in the air as my face softened, "And I appreciate that courf. I really do. But. Gavroche is up there. You mean the world to him. You do. I had to make sure he was away from that window, you have to think about Gav. You know I'd be constantly cursing and calling everyone's crap but I can't do that in front of Gavroche. He's grown up around that, and if he has any hope of being successful down the line we need to raise him properly."

Courf nodded looking past me, "I didn't even think about Gav. Wow. I'm Twenty-Three. And I'm practically a father." I nodded brushing his hair down "He really looks up to you and I would never want a silly fight to make him think otherwise. Please. Put this in the past. You're better than this. I think you'd get yourself killed if you reacted the way you just did to the boys in London. Marius has said nothing bad compared to what they say." I shrugged hugging him He hugged me back tightly, "What do they say?" He asked curiously "I know English, I'm not stupid, but they thought otherwise. And they made many sexual mentions to me. So I'm used to it, really. I don't need you fighting Marius over something so silly! And in the moment those comments hurt, but I can move forward and put that behind me. That's all I want you to do. Trust me this isn't worth it" He nodded and kissed my forehead, "I'll be inside" He said as I nodded and walked inside a few moments later I was met with Marius when I opened the door,

"Woah, Courf got you good?!" I said concerned, putting my hands up to his face "It's fine really. It's nothing. I'm really sorry Y/n-" I smiled "Marius it's okay, you got in a fight, but you can't not be friends with Courf!" He stopped me "No! I'm sorry about that too, but I can't let that bother me anymore but I'm really sorry about what I said about you, even though you weren't there. I- I just ever wonder if Cosette thinks me and you. Well. Are a thing, and she is just being polite. You said you knew her as kids and I'm sure she has an idea of who I am. So I just got upset and it was so stupid." I put my finger to his lips, "Marius, darling. She likes you, she came up to me asking if you were going to the party and I can just tell. I did mention you quite a bit as kids but I don't think she still believes I have feelings for you! I mean still having feelings. And being friends for so long. That's ridiculous!" I replied chuckling, he pulled my hand away from his lips, "Yeah. That's ridiculous" He said laughing then walking upstairs.

I was about to walk up but Madame stopped me, "Darling don't let him go." She said smiling "Pardon? Don't let him go? We aren't dating?!" I replied trying not to laugh, "Just take my advice. It may not apply now. But I think it will one day," She said before turning back to the bread she was preparing  "Yeah okay." I muttered under my breath, walking upstairs.
