A Barricade of Love (Marius Pontmercy x reader)

Y/n's Point of View:

THURSDAY JUNE 24TH, 1832

I was sitting at the main table with Enjolras next to me, Gavroche on my lap, and an empty chair left to me, reserved for Marius. 

It's been thirty minutes. And Marius has not shown up.

"Should we just start without him?" I questioned looking over at Enjy

"No, we will wait ten more minutes. Then we'll start without him."

"It's been-" I started "Y/n I know it's been five minutes"

"We're going on-" I began before Courf interjected, "It's been eight minutes."

"Okay, now it's been nine minutes can't we just sta-" I sighed as Marius burst through the door "Sorry I'm late" He announced with a big smile on his face.

 He took a seat next to me as Apollo started the meeting "Everyone is here. I want to start with the fliers that Feuilly has gotten us. Marius has made the notes for what we're to talk about while gathering. Marius if you-" Apollo looked at Marius who was still smiling looking at the wall "Marius!"

 "Huh, what?" Marius asked snapping out of whatever trance he was in "What is wrong with you?" Courf asked 

"As I was walking here Cosette was in the market so She and I talked for a while." He said smiling "How long did you two talk for?" Courf questioned laughing "I don't know. Life five minutes." Apollo furrowed his eyebrows "And yet you were thirty minutes late to the meeting?" Marius smiled "Oh my notes!" He said as he began going over all the key points.

I noticed Gavroche getting restless. He started wiggling around and making little comments while Marius was talking, after he finally stopped talking I made a comment "Okay personally that was the most important part of the meeting. Is there anything else I'm going to miss?" 

"Where are you going?" Marius asked turning the page to his notebook "I'm not done yet."

"Gavroche and I need to take a walk." Apollo rolled his eyes and shooed us away as Gavroche jumped up "Any words Y/n. I know you are not coming back until the meeting is over" I smiled "You're right. Fight for freedom? Don't die, and keep Marius here out of trouble" I said patting Marius' shoulder "Clearly love makes him a little crazy" I added winking "Oh when we were six-" Courf started as I sighed and grabbed Gavroche's hand and led him down the stairs

"Going out miss?" Madame asked "Yes. It's too much for me and Gavroche here. We need a walk" Madame nodded as we walked out to the filthy streets of Paris, Gavroche and I ventured towards the more wealthy side of the city before Gavroche asked me a question,

"Do you like Marius? Courf always talks about how he used to like you. Did you ever like him? Does he like you right now? I think he does" I laughed "Oh no darling. I like Marius as a friend. I never liked him as a child. Well maybe I did, but that's our little secret. Yes?" He giggled and smiled before running ahead of me

I smiled and kept watch of him as I stopped at a corner shop to buy some bread to give out to the homeless. I went through my purse, and when I looked up handing the woman money, past her shoulder I saw Gavroche and a family friend, Inspector Javert. He was yelling at Gavroche, Gav looked like he was about to cry. Looking around for me 

"Excuse me could you wrap the bread? I need to talk to someone" The woman smiled and nodded as I walked away toward the pair

"Excuse me Javert?" I gave a wide smile
