Enjolras' Point of View:

MONDAY JUNE 21ST, 1832

I rewrote the paper that Y/n corrected me on, unfortunately she was right. The plan to herd the poor in an area full of poor to have a Rally won't do anything if no one views it. And besides herding the lower class together in front of a poor area would have no effect. Courfeyrac stood beside me reviewing the mistakes from the work.

"You do have to admit Enjy. She's smart," he said setting the paper down,

"Well me, you, and Marius spent our childhood teaching her everything we learned so she has to be by now" I replied crossing out another mistake.

"No. We led her in the right direction, but she taught herself. If we had the same ideas she did we'd be out of this already." He replied laughing,

"No. she's just a woman. They have different. Brains than us." I said uncertainly

"Mhm," Courf said before going over to Gavroche and the other boys, the door opened and shut quickly as Marius walked up to me.

"I have never thought more in my life than I have thought around your sister Enjolras," He said eyes wide,

"What are you on about Marius? Got a crush like you did as a kid?" I asked with a dry chuckle.

"She asked me whose side I was on if I'm upper-class but fighting alongside the lower. I don't understand." He sighed, disbelief present in his voice

"Your response should have mentioned that the fight is not between the upper and lower class, the fight is for equality between classes and between nobility and Napolean against everyone else. We don't want a monarchy anymore, and Napolean is trying to make this a dictatorship, we are pro-democracy. Marius we have done endless research and as soon as someone asks you what it's about you freeze up and stutter. We need you at this rally but if this is how you'll be, you're going to be in the corner with Gav" I said crumbling the paper and throwing it on the table, Marius nodded and looked down

"When is the rally?" He asked quietly "Saturday we've all agreed on this"

his eyebrows furrowed "Your sister's homecoming party is this Saturday Enjolras, you can't miss that?"

"I won't miss it, I just won't help prepare, and I'll show up late- why do you know this?" I questioned

"I got an invite? and you may be able to do that but I do not want to show up late, it would draw attention to us," he argued

"Then don't go? I don't want anyone I know to watch me fight for this cause because of my family's ranking that's why we do it while everyone is at the party."

"I'm not doing that Enjolras I'm sorry, I do believe in this cause but maybe Y/n is right. There are other ways to help. I'll help plan the rally but I'm going to your sister's party, you should too."

"What party is being hosted?" Courf asked patting my shoulder

"My sister's homecoming party." I explained briefly, shooting daggers at Marius "And this one here is missing the rally for the party."

"It's at the same time?" Courf asked confused "Yes. It gets everyone my family knows away from us while we make a point." I said as if it was obvious

"That's risky, if were the ones missing, first your mom is going to be pissed, second it will probably be mentioned in papers that it was led by some upper class it would make it obvious it's us, and third, Y/n was my childhood best friend I can't miss that," he said shrugging, I sighed annoyed at the two boys

"Y/n's not just your childhood best friend she's also your ex-courtier. Doesn't that seem weird to you?" I asked "You don't know the story Enjy we didn't. Ya know what never mind. it's not worth it"
