Courfeyrac's Point of View:

SATURDAY JUNE 26TH, 1832

I was just tasked to fetch Gavroche and take him to Y/n's ball. I had walked downstairs but was briefly stopped by Y/n's parents "Courf? Join us in the Parlor" Y/n's Mother asked I walked into the parlor and sat down on one of the couches, Y/n's father was reading a book and Y/n's Mum was sipping on tea. She sat down her cup, "You know. I always thought you'd end up with my daughter." I gulped "Well. It's not Lord's plan," I sighed slightly "She never did tell me what happened," Her Mother continued, I am taking that as a hint she wanted to know what happened "I just changed, I didn't love her like that anymore, so we parted. I still care about her more than anything, of course." Her mother nodded "Are you courting anyone else Courfeyrac?" I shook my head quickly, "No, no one has an appeal to me." I said she sighed again "I just want someone who loves her and is good for her. One of you boys she grew up with. I mean she's Twenty-One. I want grandchildren." I nodded "Ma'am I truly believe someone is lined up for her. He is just too oblivious to see her currently," I, too sighed. If only Marius would step it up and see what's right in front of him. "Excuse me, I have to go get someone ready for the ball," I said, standing up. Y/n's Mum nodded and went back to her tea. I do pity her sometimes, her husband is very involved with work. Her children are grown, but both are unmarried. I don't blame her for worrying over her kids, they're both involved in a revolution for god's sake!

I walked outside the large manor and through the streets. I made my way to the Amis'. Unfortunately, there is no concern for Javert anymore. I walked inside and up the stairs to greet the group of boys. Only, were three present, Gavroche, Grantaire, and Jolly. All solemnly sitting around a table, Gran took large gulps from his beer as Jolly looked straight out the window. Gavroche asking questions and being ignored. I walked up to the three "Where is everyone?" I asked Grantaire smiled widely "They'll be back tomorrow. Against your wishes, they wanted to protest." My heart dropped "Where?" I asked concern filling my body "Just all around town." He said shrugging "I had Gavroche last night. I thought it was best to stay, and Jolly here has exams coming up. But is too nervous to study." He explained tapping on the large medical book sitting in front of the boy, he jumped "Oh Courfeyrac! I'm just worried is all," He smiled quickly before going back to looking out the window. I nodded slowly, "Well. Javert isn't the concern" I said before Gavroche jumped around me talking excitedly "How come?" Gran asked looking at me, "Did you not see the paper?" I asked confused, he furrowed his eyebrows and shook his head, "He." I looked at Gavroche before making a certain pose as Gran's eyes widened "How?!" He exclaimed "Jumping into a body of water. I just hope it had nothing to do with us," I sighed. He nodded taking a swig of his drink "I doubt it. Hey isn't today Enjolras' sister's party?" I nodded "Yeah, today's Y/n's party. Which is why I'm getting Gavroche. She wants him there" I said holding my hand out for the child as he beamed at me, joy filling his body. "You better get going then," Gran said extending his drink as I walked down the stairs and outside,

Gavroche started to question as soon as we exited,

'Do you think other kids will be there?'

'Why does Y/n want me there?'

'Do you think I could live with her?'

'Do ya think she'll dance with me!?'

'Maybe Y/n will kiss Marius!'

'What will I wear?'

"Okay, Gavroche I'm not sure! We have to get home so you can get ready!" I said running down the street with the boy

We walked upstairs to the manor, the house was filling with people. I knocked on Y/n's bedroom door. A maid opened it, smiled then left. "You look like a princess!"Gavroche exclaimed, running into the room and hugging Y/n tight. She smiled widely "You look so adorable Gavroche!" He beamed at the girl "I couldn't take him to dinner, I walked back home and picked him up before the ball started." I explained looking at Y/n, "Y/n you look so beautiful," I said kissing her on the cheek, she kissed my cheek back. "Thank you" I smiled as she looked at my Plum-colored jacket, "You look good," she commented before continuing, "Trying to get a woman to look at you tonight?" I grinned and laughed "You're the only woman I want looking at me" She joined me in laughing and hit my shoulder lightly "Shall we?" I asked holding my arm out for her, she accepted it and we walked down the hallway. Gavroche trailing behind us
