When Y/N opened her mouth to answer, the room went back to being completely black. Behind her eyes, she could feel the sharp sting from the sudden shift. It was a natural instinct to wave her hands in front of her body.

She couldn't feel Gyutaro, but yet could still sense a presence inside the room. A slight gust of wind hit her arms from the side. Her head moved in accordance to look.

Squinting in the darkness, she huffed when she still couldn't see where he had went. He was laughing, constantly fleeting to the corners she couldn't see.

His hand shot out, shoving her forward. Y/N just barely kept herself from face planting onto the floor. Before she could sit herself up, his foot pressed firmly against her back.

"You were going to lie to me, weren't you? Daki said you would." His breath was cool against the shell of her ear, a stark contrast to the flaming anger.

"That's not even her name...why do you insist on calling her that?" Y/N spat, groaning when he pressed down harder.

'Daki' was an even more horrible name than 'Ume'. Despite the name belonging to the disease that killed her mother, when looking past its origin, it sounded quite soft and feminine. 'Daki' sounded harsh and spiteful. As if the name was meant to instill fear and dominance over others.

"I don't want to, but it was the new name lord Muzan gave her. Don't remind me of how fucked up it is." his foot slowly slid upwards, now resting against the back of her neck. He firmly pressed it down once more.

"I could easily break your neck, you know?" Gyutaro taunted, easing the pressure only to then return it. Y/N grunted. "You deserve it anyway for leaving me like that. Tell me one reason why I shouldn't kill you right now?"

She thought long and hard about what reason she could give. Y/N wondered if she'd be able to slip a lie through her teeth, and he'd believe it. Gyutaro was used to hearing lies from people that wanted to take avantage from him and sister. Could she make it work?

Taking a deep breath, despite the overwhelming pressure on her neck, she prepared a small, white lie.

"You said you wanted us to go back to the way things were before, right?" All of a sudden, his foot disappeared from her neck. She could hear his breathing halt.

"I didn't say that...but it sounds nice."

Just a little further, and Y/N would've fully convinced him. From the side she could feel him shift in place. And then his hand covered her mouth.

"Don't finish what you were gonna say. Coward, ungrateful, stupid—" his rant continued, meanwhile Y/N was beginning to panic when he wouldn't let go. She began to squirm and scratch at his arms, but the wounds healed instantly. He felt nothing.

Gyutaro laughed when she bit down into his hand. His laughter grew louder when she gagged at the taste of demon blood. With his hand secured tightly against her mouth, she couldn't even spit it out.

"Go on, don't waste a drop! I don't know how all that shit with your blood works, but Lord Muzan said you can still become a demon." Saliva and blood dripped down his hand, but he didn't seem to even notice.

Y/N inhaled deeply, and then bit down on her tongue. And then she bit his hand again.

It only took a few seconds for him to let go, screaming as he covered his sizzling hand. After spitting multiple times, Y/N could finally no longer taste his horrid blood. Her own was enough to deal with as it was.

"Fuck, that'll never heal!" Waving his hand, he tried to make the burning go away.

"Good riddance...don't touch me unless you want to feel more of that."

While he continued to curse at his burning hand, Y/N quickly glanced around in hopes she could see the walls in the dark. Her hands pressed against one of them. They were firm and unbreakable with her natural human strength.

She felt a low vibration. Pausing to focus on the sensation, Y/N stiffened when it became stronger against her hands.

"We...aren't in the Entertainment District?" Y/N asked, squinting in hopes she could see.

Gyutaro looked at her for a moment, confused.

"How did you know where we are? Wait, we aren't there?" His confusion was genuine. Settling his gaze on the opposite wall, his eyes widened at the visible trembling.

"No. This is an illusion," another tremor made her step backwards. "We've both been trapped in here. Someone likes to play games."

The only answer that made sense, was that they had both been transported into another section of the Infinity Fortress. Although, this room wasn't colored with the soft orange and yellows she remembered. It was meant to mimic a geisha room.

How funny of Daki to do.

"I didn't know your sister was so close to Lord Muzan. Did you put her up to this?" The lights then flickered back on, showing that Gyutaro was no longer standing there.

Y/N sucked in her breath, looking everywhere in the room in hopes she wasn't alone. It was just her. He had disappeared without a sound.

A soft wisp of air slightly moved her hair. Before Y/N even turned around, she could sense the arrogance ripe as fruit.

"Did you both make up? I already don't like you, but big brother said he wanted alone time. Lord Muzan was happy to give me what I requested."

Her lips were upturned into an annoying smile. The bright colors of her kimono and makeup made Y/N's head spin.

"You little snake—" Daki's hand seized Y/N by her throat, lifting her into the air like she had done forty years ago. She still remembered the painful punishment for almost killing Y/N.

"Don't talk to me like that. I don't care whatever abilities you have, but I'm still your superior. I'm even prettier than you!" Squeezing tighter, she enjoyed seeing the veins rise to the surface. They wanted to pop so badly.

"Anyways," her hand suddenly went limp, allowing Y/N to fall to the floor. "After you and Gyutaro's little talk, it's time to go back home. I even prepared a room for you, per his request."

The biwa then rang, sending both women back to a place they were very familiar with.
