The sterile scent of antiseptic hangs heavily in the air, mingling with the soft hum of medical equipment and the occasional beeping of monitors. Fluorescent lights cast a harsh, clinical glow over the stark white walls, their brightness a stark contrast to the emotional darkness weighing on us. Each step I take down the cold, polished floors feels like a monumental effort, my heart heavy with worry and fear.

We brought Shivantika immediately to the hospital after Arjun told us about Karan running away.

We can find him later but for now Shivantika is our priority.

The doctor's are still treating her and it's almost an hour, but alas no news

All the members of the Malhotra family and Singhania family are here right now some were crying and some tensed

While I...I don't even know what to feel my wife is lying on the hospital bed all unconscious, her condition was so bad when I saw her, she was pale blood all-over her, she was a lot more lighter than before, I don't even want to think what she went through.

I feel like slapping myself for leaving her despite knowing about all the thinks, I want to cry but I am not able to. No I am not that kind of man who things crying makes a person weak because I know it doesn't. But right now, it seems as if there are no tears in my eyes, as if they don't want to cry because maybe they know my Shivantika won't like it.

The door of her room opened and the doctor came out while instructing the nurse to do something.

He came and stopped near us while all of us accumulated in one place to ask about shivantika 

" How is she doctor?" I asked desparate to know how my jaan is, my heart beat were so fast I felt as if it will come out.

" She is fine as of now, I have done the required treatment and given her medicines to heal but it will take some time for her to become normal again, you can take her home if you want after a week or she can stay here for atleast a month, heal completely and then go back home, 

And Mr. Malhotra I need to talk to you about something so can you please come with me to my cabin" the doctor ended, all the family members were in deep thoughts whereas I just nodded my head and followed the doctor. 

My and Shivantikas siblings were busy handling the family members, they are hurt too but right now what mattered to them the most is their sister's recovery.

Entering the doctors cabin we both took our seats respectively.

"So Mr Malhotra, your wife has three broken ribs, she has bruises all over her body, it seems as if she was beaten badly, she seemed malnourished probably because she was not given sufficient food to eat, she was also dehydrated the reason she became unconscious.

However the physical wounds will heal with time, the things you need to focus on is her mental health, we don't know how she will react after she wakes up, it depends on the intensity of the trauma she endured, but whatever happens I would suggest you to keep her happy as much as possible, don't let her take stress for anything, try to avoid talking about this incident infront of her as much as possible.

That's it" He said making my heart bleed, she went through all these things and I wasn't there for her, and right now I can't do anything to take away her pain.

"Thank you doctor" I said, as I got up from the chair all ready to leave the room

"That's my duty Mr Malhotra, and don't worry she will be all right, the thing that she needs the most right now is love and care" he repliedaking me nod
