Author's pov~

"I am sorry Mr Malhotra, but your wife is in coma we were able to save her but she slipped into coma due to excessive blood loss and injuries on her backhead, she can wake up anytime maybe today, tomorrow, after a week after months, after years or maybe never, we can't guarantee anything yet.

We are doing our best, let's see what happens.

You all can meet her once for now because no one will be allowed to meet the patient in the ICU after the visiting hours are over

Excuse me please" and the doctor went away

There was dead silence between everyone, no one said anything, everyone was too shocked to react, they weren't able to believe what they heard, it was like all of a sudden icy cold water was thrown over them when they were peacefully sleeping, snatching away every ounce of peace they had.

Gathering all the strength they had within themselves they went inside the ICU only to begin crying hysterically seeing Shivantikas conditions, wires attached all over body, her forehead cover with bandage, hand plastered, her usually glowing face now looking pale.

Among everyone Dhruvs condition was the worst, he didn't speak even a word after what the doctor told, it was like he is lost.

Suddenly his knees buckled, and he collapsed into the nearest chair, burying his face in his hands. His shoulders started to shake as sobs wrack his body, the realization of the situation sinking in.

The once-strong and composed man is now completely undone, his emotions laid bare. Tears stream down his face, his breath coming in ragged gasps as he tries to comprehend the enormity of what he's just heard.

He looks up at Shivantika, lying motionless on the hospital bed, her face peaceful yet distant, as if she's already far away. The steady beep of the heart monitor is the only sound that punctuates the silence, each beat a cruel reminder of her fragile state. He reaches out, trembling, to hold her hand, which is cold to the touch.

"Shivantika, jaan please open your eyes, I promise I will never ever push you away, please open your eyes, please"  His voice cracks as he whispers her name, pleading for a response, but there's none. The void between them feels vast, like an unbridgeable chasm filled with unsaid words and lingering regrets.

"Mujhe jo saja dogi wo manjur hain, par ye nahi, please mai kya  karunga tumhare bina, kho jaunga, kaun sambhalega mujhe, wapis aa jao, Please" he further says holding her hands tighly shattering their family members heart looking at the now vulnerable couple

(I will accept every punishment you give me but not this please, what will I do without you? I will be lost. Who will handle me? Please Shivantika come back)

"Dhruv beta sambhalo khud, tum ase Tut jaoge to Shivantika ko kaun sambhalega, uske sath jo galat hua hain usse kaun thik karega, hum sab hain tere saath" Dhruv mother assured while hugging him

(Dhruv control yourself, if you breakdown like this, then who will take care of Shivantika, who will correct the wrong deeds that have happened with her? We are with you )

"Mai kya karu maa, jis jagah pe aaj Shivantika hain waha mujhe hona chahiye tha, woh..woh truck mujhe maarne wali thi, par..par Shivantika mere samne agayi, aapni jaan khatre mein dal di, woh bhi kiske liye? Mujh jaise insaan ke liye jisne usko itna dukh Diya
