Dhruv pov~

I woke up due to the sunrays peeking through the curtains, warming my face. For a second, I let the morning laziness linger, as the last night incident flashed infront of my eyes. I stretched, expecting to find Shivantika beside me. But when I turned to the other side of the bed, it was empty.

"Where could she be?" I thought. Perhaps she'd gone to the bathroom. But when I checked, it was empty too.

Puzzled, I shrugged it off, deciding to take a shower and freshen up before finding her. Surely, she was just downstairs with the family. However, I couldn’t shake off a faint unease creeping in. Where had she gone so early? I quickly got ready and went downstairs, where I was greeted by the usual chaos, but no sign of Shivantika.

"Where is Shivantika, Dhruv? Is she okay? Why didn’t she come downstairs with you?" Maa asked, eyeing me with concern.

I frowned.

"I thought she was here with you all. She wasn’t in the bedroom when I woke up."

That unfamiliar feeling grew, a mixture of worry and confusion. My heart raced. What if something had happened to her? No, it couldn’t be. She had to be somewhere around the house, right?

"Let’s look for her," Abhiraj suggested.

"Yahi kahi hogi bhabi"

(She must be here only)

Nodding, we all spread out, each taking different directions to search for her. After about ten minutes of searching and growing concern, I finally found her in one of the guest rooms, sitting on the bed and staring at the door. The moment we burst into the room, her eyes widened, and she immediately covered her face with her hands.

"Lagta hain kal raat ki utri nahi abhi tak," Veer snickered, a mischievous grin lighting up his face.

(It seems bhabi is still high on alcohol from yesterday night)

"Asa kya piya tha ki asar abb tak hain? Abb toh mujhe bhi pi na hain," Chachu chimed in, making me realize that any seriousness in my family lasted about two seconds on a good day.

(What did she even drink for begin high till now, even I want to drink it now)

Ignoring them, I walked up to Shivantika, kneeling in front of her.

"What happened, jaan? Why are you sitting here all by yourself? Do you know we were all so worried about you?" I asked using my gentlest voice

She peeked at me through her fingers, still hiding most of her face.

"Wo... wo... I’m embarrassed," she mumbled.

"Embarrassed? But why?"

She motioned for me to lean closer, and as I did, she whispered,

"Woh mujhe na kal jo hua tha yaad aa gaya. Ab mujhe sharam aa rahi hain. Mujhe pata hain sab log mujhe chidhayenge."

(Actually I remembered what I did yesterday and so I am embarrassed, and I know you all will tease me now)

I smirked to myself, the events of last night coming back in flashes. Oh, so she remembered. This was going to be fun.

"Humare sath to bhaiya kutton jesa behave karte hain, abhi dekho kitna pyar se baat kar rahe hain," Vansh muttered just loud enough to be heard by everyone
