Ch 16 Kwaintain

I was sweating as I finished my last running lap around the city , I took off the hoodie and wiped the sweat on my forehead. I had heard almost a dozen people while running talking about yesterday's ball , they talked about the final suitor from the selected ones , many placed their bet and others made assumptions, all too excited from the information, a great gossip, and excellent entertainment .

Well the media are prohibited inside the palace so they couldn't get the pictures of the inside but there were some leaks and I could see people admiring , envy those photos , those filled with the lavish lives of the royals and nobles.
I can't say much about this lifestyle it is something new to me , my nation wasn't used to being what it is now . Our prosperous and powerful nation that the world recognises now isn't what I grew up with , things were way more harsh .

I put this thought aside as I reached my place , where I stayed, where I found Grey waiting for me .
" The crown Princess called you on the training ground" he just said to me , nice progress I see
" Along with others " he completed, wait so she called all others , damn i was getting ahead of myself.
I quickly put these thoughts aside as I went for a shower , it was still quite early in the morning and the princess seemed to be in a mood to practice. I put on my fighting leather and proceeded towards the palace training ground along with grey .
I could feel her presence near as I heard the sound of a sword slicing something. She slowly started to become visible as I approached near the ground. I was the only one to arrive this early, seeing how the princes are .

The view in front of me was magnetic, the way her sword swung in a rhythm, that Ruthless controlled strength in each swing was daunting yet attractive . It would be a lie to say that it wasn't the most beautiful sword manship I had ever seen . Every step of her felt like a phoenix with the grace of a swan. Alluring yet fiery , bewitching anyone who watched it .

" You have arrived early " she said as she laid down her sword , which I despised , I wanted to see more of that , more of her . I was snapped out of my thoughts when she said
" Care for a match , i mean i could give you the honour to have a duel with me " she asked me with the same smirk that seemed to be reserved for me.

" Sure Crown Princess, would be honoured to have this opportunity" I said bowing sarcastically in front of her . I picked up a practice sword from the racks and stood in front of her .

" I'll give you the first chance then only it will be fair." she said as she teased me , while we circled to the ground , looking at each other while grabbing our fighting position.

I wouldn't be the one to attack a girl first , but If I have to impress her , I must give it all , after all I do have revenge pending.
I thought as I attacked first , right on her sword which she easily doge and responded with another attack that i ducked my head under attacking her leg which she defended with insane speed . Our swords clashed and the sound was pleasant. Her strength was insane, her speed was much faster and her accuracy was scaring , but I wasn't giving up . I did my signature move .
I took a step back implementing that i was making an attack on her sword as she ran towards to do the same when I glided under her sword going behind her and attacking her back . And there was my first land on her back , though the contact was minimal as she quickly defended it but still , the land was there .

" Not bad prince , wasn't expecting that " she said a bit breathless. There were a lot of things she didn't know about me but I was planning to know everything about her .
She turned around and we backed a bit again circling around before our swords clashed again but this time it was different her strength was more raw and I could just feel like she was just testing me before . I
Aimed to attack her head which she ducked and then simultaneously attack at her sword with my full strength to knock her sword down but the attack was just in vain in front of her speed .
She glided to the side of my attack and just swung her sword, only to sent my sword flying . There I was defeated For the second time , though I was not much disappointed cause I knew, her strength knew no match , it was brutal, enormous while she still wasn't using her complete strength.
I had fought the desecrator before for the first time and the wound of that still hurts despite years . Though I fought just one the amount of strength it took was terrifying, I had push through my limits to defeat it , kill it . I have
Gained quite experience from then but still dealing with more than a few desecrator is more than my limit and to think how many she can kill , defeat , makes me only admire her more .
