Ch 31 Cynthia

I leisurely walked the hall corridors with Esther chatting and talking about random things, knowing each other more .

That's when I asked about his father's name , he didn't use his name and I was curious about it, but i really wished i didn't, when he said his father was his mother's rapist it made my blood boil , and i could barely imagine my tears thinking what he must have gone through, what must have people like us , the born dark element user must have gone through , we were hated for no real reason , we were wrongly framed and I was proud my brother was going to make changes for that .

In the flow i must've said something about clearing my family's name , when he asked me looking confused and shit it slipped through my tongue, at that I was thinking of what to say to him , what excuse to say , but something inside me stopped me from lying, i wanted to say the truth , he deserves to know the truth cause he is a part of Twilatia.
I took a deep breath and then looked into his eyes before speaking.

" Well there is a thing about our family that you don't know , we are the direct descendants of the Twilatia Royal family "
I spoke as I looked at his face , confusing surrounding his eyes .

" That family that was banished, and the Twilatia that became barren ? " He replied still confused with his eyebrows raised to which I just nodded, i don't know what reaction he must have after knowing that our family was blamed for everything that happened to them , but that wasn't true , we were framed .

" Our family was framed centuries ago by King lumov, he was the one who put false allegations on us , he was the one who asked for that head knight who apparently stole their treasure, Kwain is trying to uncover the whole truth " . I explained to him .

" If I am not wrong then Kwain approached Kira , for the same reason doesn't he and does she know , about your family's history? " He asked me with his voice slightly frustrated.

" I know Kwain wouldn't lie , yes he did intend to hide his identity first but that was cause we didn't know the Crown Princess, whether she would help us or not , you know very well how most nobels on earth are " i continued explaining as his brow eased a bit before he spoke .

" Well that's true , most royal are self absorbed jerks , but she isn't like that , not a bit and I have hope and faith in her , she will be a great Empress, the one who values her people " he spoke with a slight smile on his face and i could tell by his eyes how much respect he had for her .

I looked out the window, it was a beautiful night and i could see a shooting star in the sky but was it a shooting star , i narrowed my eyes getting a more clear look at it as it approached us with a great speed and thats when I notice it wasn't alone , various like it were coming and it was not way a shooting star , it was..... Those monsters.

Esther's pov

I staring at the ground remembering all the goods things Kira did and how kind she was . I was really shocked by hearing her family's history but i wanted to trust her , trust them , after all I belonged with them , I am a part of Twilatia, always was and always will be .

I looked at her , as she looked at the sky and then her expression went blank , she went pale and it concerned me so I looked at the i direction and holy shit i could see why .

" Fuck , the desecrators are here , they are attacking" and just as I completed the sentence, one of them crashed straight through the corridor where we stood , I quickly doged over Cynthia, shielding her from the fallen concrete.

" Are you okay ? " I asked her as we both lay there among the broken pillar walls and concrete dusts surrounding us .

" I am .... okay " she said coughing from the dust surrounding us and I would have been concerned more about her if there wasn't something else that distracted me , the desecrator, they attacked , we are under attack and Kira is not here .
