Ch 28 Grey

I had bid farewell to Maylainia in hope to meet again . To be honest she was amazing , beautiful and perfect in everything. I loved how caring she was towards her people.
That reminded me so much of my Mom , she was a brave warrior who fought for Moonhaven , after the royal family took me in , King Odrigo and Queen Mystic were like second parents to me and when prince Kwaintain was born , I sweared to protect him and care for him, though he was headache growing up , his rebellious and fierce nature made me worried of him but nonetheless he was a great prince , I still remember how happy he was when his sister , Princess Cynthia was born , that reminded me of how much excited I was when he was born .

In a blink of eye they both grew up so quickly and it wasn't long before he surpassed me , became so strong and fierce , be able to protect his kingdom, his people .

That's something Maylainia and I share we both saw them grow and becoming the person they are today and we are proud of them , proud to be there special person.

Esther and I walked towards the palace , it felt good to be back home . We reached the main entry gate and the guards there bowed down as they spoke .

" Welcome back , Head knight Grey " they spoke while opening the door for us .

We entered inside the palace and I couldn't help but smile looking at Esther's expression, he looked at everything in awe .
We were soon given audience with the King and Queen along with the Princess .

I stepped in the court along with Esther and bowed down .

" Long live the kingdom of Moonhaven , we have the head knight of Crown princess' special Calvary to deliver a notice here " I said signalling him to continue.

" Pleasure to meet you , your majesty, I am the head knight Esther luna here to deliver a special notice from the Empress, if you gave me the permission, I like to announce it " he said , as the king nodded by saying .

" Yes, it would be our Honor"

" By the decree of The Empress, we would like to grant the Kingdom of Moonhaven a special status and so to the born Dark element user, their lost dignity and respect would be restored in the society and protected by the Crown Princess "
he spoke and I could hear whispers throughout the court , they were more like the happy whispers , a very evident smile of hope was visible on everyone.

" We would be honoured to receive such pleasure from the Empress and the crown Princess and this calls for celebration , I would like to invite you Head knight" the king spoke rising from his throne looking at Esther at his request.

" Would be all my honour , Sir " he replied and the court was dismissed, as every one happily left with the news to spread.

Esther's pov .

I looked around the court it was indeed beautiful but not more beautiful than the smile on the people faces after I announced the notice they were delighted.

I saw Princess Cynthia running towards Grey as she hugged him , smiling.

" What took you so long , and where is Kwain ? " She asked , looking around for him .

" Well he is busy assisting the Crown princess , he will come soon " he said and to that she looked wide eyed .

" You mean , I am getting a sister in law and that too the crown Princess"
she exclaimed and that made me cough , sure I knew there was something going on between them , couldn't miss those sparks , but marriage I didn't knew it had come this far .

I quickly composed myself as she looked at me and then approached her , kneeling grabbing her hand and touching my forehead, it was an old Twilatian tradition .
