Minghao had been sprawled out on the couch for most of the day, his eyes half-closed as he tried to tune out the world around him.
He had been in this state for days, claiming he needed rest.
Dino, on the other hand, was bursting with energy and enthusiasm, eager to drag him out for some fun.
"Dino, can you please stop?"
Minghao snapped, his voice sharper than intended.
"I just want to rest. Why can't you get that?"
Dino's face fell, his bright smile fading,
"I just thought... we could do something together. It's been so long since we hung out."
Minghao sighed, rubbing his temples,
"Just leave me alone, Dino. Go find someone else to bother."
The words stung, and Dino felt tears prickling at the corners of his eyes.
Without another word, he turned and left the dorm, slamming the door behind him.
The sound echoed through the silence, and Minghao immediately regretted his harsh tone.
Dino made his way to Yeonjun's place, who lived nearby.
He needed to clear his head and be around someone who appreciated his company.
As he settled in on Yeonjun's couch, he couldn't shake the hurt from Minghao's words.
Back at the dorm, Minghao couldn't focus on anything.
His mind kept drifting back to the look on Dino's face before he left.
It wasn't just annoyance or frustration; it was genuine hurt.
Minghao felt a pang of guilt twist in his chest. He didn't mean to push Dino away, not like that.
As the evening wore on, Minghao's restlessness grew.
He couldn't just sit there and do nothing while Dino was out there, upset because of him.
Grabbing his phone, he hesitated for a moment before dialing Dino's number.
It rang several times before going to voicemail.
Minghao left a message, his voice soft and sincere,
"Dino, I'm sorry for what I said. I didn't mean to hurt you. Please come back. I... I really need to talk to you."
