Dino is looking around all his hyungs (ships) and wonders why was he still there? Just to suffer.
The sun was setting, casting a golden glow over the bustling city.
Inside their shared dorm, the members of Seventeen were enjoying the last hours of their day off, scattered across the rooms and common spaces.
Laughter echoed through the halls, the kind of light-hearted teasing that was a constant within their group.
It was the norm, something that usually brought warmth and comfort to every corner of their dorm.
But tonight, Dino sat quietly on the couch, his heart heavy.
His eyes wandered across the living room where some of his hyungs were huddled.
Seungcheol had his arm wrapped lazily around Jeonghan's shoulders, the two of them sharing secret smiles that only couples seemed to exchange.
Across the room, Joshua and Seokmin were giggling over something on Joshua's phone, heads close together in that intimate way that made Dino's chest tighten just a little bit more.
It wasn't that he was unhappy for them.
Quite the opposite, he loved his hyungs deeply and was thrilled that they had each found someone to share that special bond with.
But recently, the dorm felt different.
Even though the group was as close as ever, it seemed like there was an invisible barrier separating Dino from the others.
His hyungs were pairing off more and more, spending their free time together, and he couldn't help but feel like the odd one out.
As the youngest, he was used to being doted on, used to being involved in all their antics.
But lately, he'd found himself retreating more often, unsure of where he fit in amidst the blooming romances around him.
He sighed and sank deeper into the couch, pretending to focus on the variety show playing on the TV.
It wasn't just Seungcheol and Jeonghan, or Joshua and Seokmin.
Jun and Minghao had been inseparable lately, speaking in quiet Mandarin as they sat together on the floor, leaning against each other like a pair of perfectly matched puzzle pieces.
Hoshi and Woozi were in their own world, as usual, their dynamic charged with an energy that Dino couldn't quite describe, something fierce but soft, chaotic yet gentle.
Even Wonwoo and Mingyu, who usually kept their relationship more low-key, were standing in the kitchen, Mingyu leaning against the counter with his arm loosely draped around Wonwoo's waist.
