Seventeen is out on a tour. Chan receives a call from his younger brother (Geon) saying that their parents got into an accident. He wanted to go, but he couldn't go because the concert had already started. He forced himself to perform.
Others noticed something was off with him. His hands were shaking, his eyes were red and teary, even though he didn't cry because he didn't want them to worry. Being worried about his parents, he became over stressed and fainted mid performance, making everyone worried.
After he woke up, he told them about his parents getting into an accident but he couldn't go because their manager didn't let him. Others ask him to go immediately and check on his parents and they would join him after that. After he left, the members fought with their manager and left to meet his parents, who are also like their family.
The lights in the arena dimmed, the air thick with anticipation.
The hum of thousands of fans buzzing with excitement filled the space.
Seventeen was about to take the stage, and Chan, the youngest member, known affectionately as Dino, was usually the most electrified during these moments.
However, tonight, something was different.
Just moments before the show, Chan had received a call from his younger brother, Geon.
The trembling voice on the other end of the line delivered news that felt like a punch to the gut, their parents had been in an accident.
Chan's world tilted on its axis, but with the show about to start, he was torn between his duty to his fans and his desperate need to be with his family.
"Hyung, they're in the hospital. It's bad."
Geon's voice echoed in his mind.
Chan clenched his phone, his knuckles white. He wanted to scream, to run out and catch the first flight home.
But the concert, carats.
Their manager had been firm,
"You can't leave now, Dino. The concert is about to start. We can arrange for you to go afterward."
Heart pounding and hands shaking, Chan forced himself to put on a brave face.
As the opening notes of their first song reverberated through the arena, he stepped out into the blinding lights, his mind miles away.
Throughout the performance, Chan's mind was a whirlpool of fear and anxiety.
His usual sharp and energetic movements felt heavy and forced.
He could feel the eyes of his hyungs on him, concern etched in their expressions.
He kept his head down, afraid that if he met their gaze, he would break.
