It had been a couple of days since Vi had seen the princess.
She wasn't worried because she was sure there were more important duties than visiting the Lanes. Caitlyn was a princess after all. Although, it was clear she did not want to be treated as such.
"Violet, it's the princess!" Powder exclaimed, running into the living area.
"The princess?" Vi asked, sitting up in her seat.
"Yes, she came to see you."
"She spoke of it, but I wasn't sure it would actually happen," the noble said, getting up from the sofa.
"You don't trust me?" A perfect accent spoke.
Vi looked at the other entrance to the living area to see the princess in a less excessive attire. It was a light blue with a few darker blue pieces. She had a dark blue French hood to match and a few strands of her blue hair perfectly out of place at the front of it, "This place is as wonderful as Mrs. Talis says," she said to herself.
"Mrs who?" Vi asked.
"Mrs. Talis. She's... never mind. Either way, the home is lovely."
"Thank you, Your- Caitlyn."
"Of course, Vi. Would you like to walk with me? I found a path along the way here, I wasn't sure if you've been down it."
"I haven't exactly had the time to explore the land. If you know it well, you may."
"I also told my father I planned on being out, looking for more supplies today for my projects. We have much time."
Vi smiled and nodded, following the princess out of the house. Caitlyn looked beautiful in the excessive ball gowns, but more like herself in the everyday attire. It flowed more with her personality and likes more than the ball gowns did. Not too extravagant, not too worn down.
As the walked down the trail, Caitlyn noticed Vi making occasional glances at her, "Is everything alright?" She asked the noble.
"Yes, everything is quite well," Vi said with a smile.
"You have been glancing at me."
"It's a bit silent, don't you think? Or are you admiring the silence of nature?"
"I am not exactly sure what to talk about, Your Grace. My apologies-"
"No, no. No need to apologize, Your Highness. I wasn't sure if you had a problem with me."
"Oh, my word! No! You've been kind to me since the moment we spoke. I find it hard to have any problems with you."
"Well, it is good to know you are not two-faced."
"I actually want to do things that are important in life. I do not find fun in making others miserable. Other princesses might, but I do not."
"You explained to me that you're into archery. Is there a specific place you practice your hobby?"
"There is some woodland on the backside of the royal property. My friend, Jayce built targets for me. They aren't accurate targets, but it is the thought that counts. I am forever grateful. And you... you said your people either gossiped, begged, or fought."
"Are you curious as to which one I was?"
"I suppose if we are friends, I believe I have some sort of right to know. I do not like gossipers though."
"Nor do I. Beggars beg because that is their last hope. We were close, but it never came to that."
"So... you fought?"
