Jayce and Caitlyn found their childhood trail just outside of the palace property. Caitlyn had refused to step foot in the palace... or the gardens.
"His name is Christopher," Jayce began. "Your brother."
"Oh... how lovely," Caitlyn muttered.
"How have you been? I don't get to see you these days now that you stopped hanging around the palace."
"I've been great actually. There's much less stress when I'm outside of Piltover."
"You're really living with the Lanes?"
"I am. Much better than living in that... abomination with my father and his new life."

Caitlyn walked into the Lanes' home. She walked up the stairs and into Vi's room.
"There you are," Vi said, a relieved tone of voice. "I was worried where you went."
The Princess sat on the bed next to the Noble. "I can't look that man in the eye again," the muttered. "If so, I think I might kill him."
"Your Father?" Vi asked her.
Caitlyn just looked at her and burst into tears, "Please... can I just stay here? I can't go back to the palace..."

"How can she just allow royalty to live in her home so easily?" Jayce asked.
"She wouldn't if it were anyone else," Caitlyn said. "It isn't just her home either, Jayce. It's her family's home. They gracefully allowed me to stay with no problems."
"If they're so sweet then why are you tearing up?"
"I'm not sure..." She muttered, wiping the tears away that threatened to fall down her cheeks. "I suppose I feel like a burden to them at times."
"You shouldn't. I know if His Majesty heard me, I would be locked away, but after keeping your mother's death cause from everyone, he shouldn't even be King. He should be locked away. Beheaded even.
"He should. But it isn't that easy." She cleared her throat before changing the subject, "How is Christopher doing?"
"Well, he has colic. And Her- Eudora has fallen ill. She began to grow weak just a few days ago."
"Has she seen a doctor?"
"She has. Just yesterday. They say it's some type of flu."
"A flu? I expected it to be the sweating sickness or something."
"I'm afraid it's worse than that."
Suddenly, there came a scream from inside the garden. An infant's scream. A cry. Jayce and Caitlyn exchanged a look before running towards the sound. Then they found their source.
"Christoper," Jayce murmured before picking up the infant from the garden steps.
"This is him...?" Caitlyn asked, taking a step closer.
"Yes. Though, I'm not exactly sure why he was left here..."
"Perhaps my father left him here. But it's a bit cold. Spring just began."
"I believe it is an old myth. It does not work though. You had colic and he tried the same thing if I do remember."
"Let me see him. The baby."
