Vi jumped at the sound of Caitlyn slamming her closet door shut. She just continued slamming things out of anger. Vi was not about to complain either. She knew how enraged the princess was. Which gave Caitlyn every excuse to leave Piltover.

The woman sat down on the bed, huffing and crossing her arms. It was safe to say she was pissed. A male heir. Some women pregnant with Caitlyn's future little brother. That even made Vi angry. Maybe not as angry as the princess was. She was supposed to have the throne and now she would have to wait until the male heir died. Then she would get it.

"This is absolutely ridiculous!" She shouted, before huffing and laying back. Vi laid back next to her. "I can't stand that man... I hate him."

Vi wiped away Caitlyn's angry tears, "You have every right to feel this way," she told the woman calmly. The princess sniffled and looked at Vi, softening her gaze. She took Vi's hand and kissed it.

The noble smiled, "We can leave if you'd like. You know that trail? Our trail?" She moved a strand of hair out of the princess's face. "Do you think that would place you in a calm state of mind?"

"I'm not sure... I appreciate you recommending it. Perhaps that would be more ideal for this current situation. It is more ideal than the current fantasy I have of leaving and never looking my favorite in the eye again."

"Perhaps." Vi got up off the bed and gently took Caitlyn's hand. There were a few rings that were on her fingers. Each of them had small gemstones that matched her dress.

"I should change my dress," the Princess announced. "I've been wearing the same one since yesterday."

"You do not have to."

"But-"

"Remember that you've barely worn it," Vi told her teasingly. Caitlyn playfully shoved her.

"You quiet yourself!" She exclaimed with a laugh. "I'm changing into something a bit less excessive. Watch if you please."

"Would I be me if I didn't watch you change your dresses?"

Caitlyn hit her in the arm again before walking off into her closet. She came out in a dark blue dress with black embroideries on it that Vi wouldn't quite make out. The Princess checked the dress in one of the mirror that she had.

"I'm not sure why you would need to check yourself," Vi told her, wrapping her arms around the Princess's waist from behind.

"It's habit, my love. Nothing more. I have to match sure there isn't a tear or a stain."

"Because people would harshly judge you if there was?"

"They would. When people think Princess, they think perfection. I may not be perfect but I can try to get as close as possible."

"You are perfect though."

"To you."

Suddenly, the bedroom door opened.

"Your Highness?" A voice spoke.

Caitlyn could see Eudora's reflection in the mirror. She turned to face the woman, Vi holding her hand. It scared her how young she was...

"Can I help you?" Caitlyn asked her.

"I just wanted to apologize. I understand that you did not expect this."

She sighed, "I did actually... it doesn't surprise me that my father would find a mistress now."

"A mistress...?"
