You won't admit you love me
And so how am I ever to know?
You always tell me
Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps
A million times I've asked you
And then I ask you over
Again, you only answer
Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps

"How could you?!" Powder hissed at her older sister as the door shut. "You cannot just leave her there!"
"Yes, I can," Vi said, rolling down her sleeves. "And I did. I have no idea how she expects me to just move along with this-"
"Because you told her that you would. How could you just play with her feelings that way? She would never do such a thing to you..."
"It doesn't matter. I refuse to become part of royalty... I won't do it."
"You are such a liar."
"I beg your pardon? Powder, just leave me be. I will deal with this myself."
As Vi began to walk off upstairs Powder yelled, "Sure, you'll simply walk away and try your best to never speak with her again! You're cruel, Violet! Just cruel!"
Perhaps...

Caitlyn sat on the steps outside of the building, hugging her knees. She felt cold chills arrive along her arms as a strong breeze blew through her muscles. The carriage was gone. And so was Vi...
"Your Highness," A voice spoke. There stood Lady Ambessa Medarda. "What are you still doing here?"
"My carriage left," Caitlyn said with a small sniffle. "So did... I suppose it does not matter now."
"Your lover? I noticed that she had been quick to rush out of here. She took the carriage with her as well?"
"Yes. Perhaps this was all too much... I shouldn't have pushed this onto her. She did say that she understood and that she didn't mind as long as she was with me. I'm so confused... what did I do?"
"I suppose you've done nothing, Your Highness. And I'm afraid I am unable to help you with this... my apologies."
"I would never expect you to do that, Your Grace. This is something I have to solve on my own. I appreciate your sympathy."
"Of course, Your Highness. I suppose I will see you in just a few days?"
"Yes, you will," Caitlyn had visible pain in her laugh before saying, "A lost lover won't stop me from protecting the kingdom, right?"
Once Lady Medarda was gone, Caitlyn continued sulking.
She was more confused than sorrowful. How could her sweet Violet possibly allow her to believe that she was okay with Caitlyn becoming Queen? It was foolish to believe... everything was too good to be true. If what Vi told her was a lie, was their entire relationship a lie?
Perhaps...

The palace seemed so empty. No King, no Queen, no Talis family workers. Only Caitlyn herself and Viktor who remained in his own part of the Palace. Caitlyn had spent hours upon hours thinking of Vi. She couldn't simply slip from her fingers that easily... over something so little... suddenly, there was a knock on the Palace doors.
"Violet," Caitlyn answered it with a smile. The sight of her lover had never overjoyed her so much. "I've missed-"
"I'm not here for you," Vi spoke, holding a bundle in her arms.
The Princess's heart dropped. She could burst into tears right then and there, "Oh," she muttered. The Noble shoved the bundle of a sleeping infant into her arms.
