- no matter how exhausted chan gets after his schedule, he will never go to sleep until you're home. he won't even be able to consider putting his head down to rest if you're not home yet and he knows you're safe, happy, and beside him in bed. even if it's one of those rare days where he can get a relatively early sleep, it's not happening if you're not home
- after fighting for his life to keep his eyes open, he finally heard the front door unlock and sat up immediately, wrapping the blanket around his half-naked body and shuffling over to the front door
''you're home.'' he greeted with a sleepy smile and hazy eyes, opening up the blanket and his arms to welcome you into his warm embrace
''yes, I am. hi baby'' you hummed in agreement, just as exhausted as he was and wanting nothing more than to cuddle up beside him already, ''you didn't have to wait for me, hm? I know you're tired''
''yeah, I am tired, but I've been looking forward to cuddling you to sleep all day'' he whispered, taking a deep inhale of your sweet scent for his own comfort, ''go wash up and come straight to bed, okay? I'll be waiting for you''
''I won't be too long, don't fall asleep without me'' you giggled, finding it adorable how he stayed up just so that the last thing he saw today would be you in his arms
- you got unready, washed up and changed into pyjamas as fast as you could, not wanting to waste any time when you could be snuggled into chan's side
- when you stepped into the bedroom from the bathroom ready to go to sleep, your boyfriend's eyes lit up like he fell in love with you all over again. seeing you with no makeup, freshly showered and damp hair was always his favourite look on you, you looked so clean and beautiful to him, he wanted to hold you and never let go, which is pretty much what he did
- you crawled into his embrace and let his arms hold you as if they were protecting you from the world, your head on one side of his chest whilst you drew gentle circles and patterns on the other side. he hummed a soft tune quietly as you both fell to sleep together, the warmth of the other giving comfort that couldn't be found anywhere else. the room was pitch black and silent, the only sound being your synchronised breathing. you wanted to stay like this forever
''goodnight [name], I love you'' he mumbled, caressing your head one final time before drifting off into a well-deserved sleep after his one final comment, ''you've worked so hard today, I'm proud of you baby''
''goodnight channie'' you whispered back, lip quivering at how deeply you felt the love he had for you in your heart when he said he's proud of you, something you really needed to hear after a long day, ''I love you too...so much''
