- this boy could not stop smiling and giggling when he was in the water, especially since it was back in the city he grew up with and with the girl he was looking forward to carrying on growing up with

- he made you race him in the water and he even gave you a head start so that you could at least have some sort of chance of making it to the other side of the pool before him, but even with this boost he still easily swam past you like a torpedo. this was most definitely the son of a swim coach, and it was evident with how much of a strong swimmer he genuinely was, his form in the water was insane
''you cheated!'' you huffed, trying to catch your breath after finally catching up to chan, who was already standing at the other end and brushing his hair back out of his face with his hand. ''you cheated by having a swim instructor as a dad!''
''did I now?'' he giggled, attempting to ruffle your hair like he always does before he realised that it was slicked down to your head and wet, so he flicked your forehead gently instead. ''why don't I teach you to swim well too then?''
''yeah, you can, after I do this-''
- you erupted into a huge water hand, pushing the water at him with the palms of your hands and skimming them across the surface of the water to form a massive wave to attack him with, to which he retaliated by forming a wave of his own back, the two of you splashing water at each other like little kids
''time out, time out, time out!'' chan shrieked, turning his back to you and taking tiny steps in the water away from you, but little did you know he was actually preparing a massive spin to create the biggest wave possible at you, which you fell for. best believe you were the one asking for time out after that last one
- after you both ran out of energy to carry on splashing each other and wanted to breathe for a moment without inhaling water every time, he decided he was actually going to teach you the same skills and techniques that his dad taught him as a little boy, which was actually such a cute little moment for the two of you. he stood behind you with his arms stretched out across your own, guiding the movements of them to show you the best form for swimming, his wet hair dripping on your drying shoulders and sending a shiver down your spine. when you actually used what he taught you to swim and it successfully worked in making you a faster, stronger swimmer, you both started cheering and happily ran up to each other in the water, sharing a wet high five and hugging
''you'll teach our kids this one day too, right? past the tradition down, you know'' you mentioned, smiling like a fool even just at the idea of watching chan in a pool teaching kids how to swim. it was such an adorable thing to imagine
