"Why does it have to be them? I mean, there are lots of people,
but why... God, just take my soul.As soon as they entered, Lily tried to hide her face, hoping they wouldn't see her. She was scared and freaked out, hurrying so much that she even bumped her head. Suddenly, one of them said,
'Hey, I think it would be better if I go; the others need me.' As soon as Lily heard this, her face brightened up, and she abruptly looked out to see if they had left. Pran was shocked, wondering why Lily was behaving like this. 'Hey, what's wrong?' he asked. Lily replied, 'Nothing, it's just my heart... Oh no, my sister was there.
I hope she didn't see me.' Pran said, 'Even if she did, there's no problem.' Lily responded, 'Well, that's true, but let it be. Why do we have to suffer like this?
I really hate exhibitions, and it's raining too.' Just then, she saw them leaving. 'Yes! I'm finally out of here. It's weird that all the teachers are busy on the first floor, and there's no one except that so-called senior.' Just then, the senior said, 'Hey, where are you going?' Lily was shocked to hear this, her face flushing with a red tinge as she was caught off guard. She couldn't even find the words to respond."
Lily: "Hey there, I'm just going to freshen up. Nothing more."
Lawrine: "Your room is on this floor."
Lily: "It doesn't matter" (with a sassy tone). "What are you doing here?"
Lawrine: "None of your business."
Lily's POV: "What's wrong with him? I was really happy to see him, and he has to act like that? Such a pretty face, but a dumb ass. What's wrong with him? It's not like we always see each other. And what was that? 'None of your business'? I really hate that."
Lily was furious, her eyebrows furrowed in anger, but she calmed down as she turned back. She thought, "I'll ignore him, and he'll be disappointed and regret his actions. He'll curse himself." She was giggling to herself, lost in thought, when she realized she was back where Lawrine was standing. As she saw him, she knew it was her chance to ignore him.
"Hey you," Lawrine said, but Lily was disappointed that she couldn't muster a response and simply replied, "Whaaatttttttttyyy?"
Lawrine: "You can't go from this side; take another pathway."
Lily: "Why?" (with a sigh). She was really sad. "Well, I mean, I just walked from there. Why would I go from the other side?"
Lawrine: "But we had instructions not to allow anyone, not even you." (with a cold voice)
Lily: "Okay, sir" (what was that tone?). "I'll go."
Lawrine: "See, it's what has to be done."
Just then, another girl passed by and talked to Lawrine. Lily couldn't hear their conversation, but soon she noticed the girl crossing over. Lawrine was laughing with her, which made Lily feel even more frustrated.
Lily: "So, can I go too? Why can't I, when she's allowed to?"
Lawrine: "Do you want me to repeat myself? You can't."
Lily felt broken inside. She ignored Lawrine's words and started walking down the stairs, lost in her thoughts. She wondered why Lawrine had let the other girl pass but not her. She convinced herself that it didn't matter, that they weren't friends or acquaintances, and she shouldn't have talked to him in the first place.
Lawrine's POV: As soon as I saw her, I thought of messing with her. I'm kind of bored here. Oh, she came... "Where are you going?" and stuff. I said things I didn't really mean. But when I saw she was down, I knew I had gone too far. I tried to explain, but the situation was different from what I thought.
As I saw her taking the stairs, I followed her, concerned that she seemed dissatisfied. Her face had been pale from the start. I hoped nothing bad would happen. But then I heard, "Don't follow me." I didn't stop until I heard, "Hey, Lawrine, I'm waiting."
Lily: "I said don't follow me."
Lawrine: "What's with your temper?"
Lily: "None of your business." She didn't move from her spot, and then he left. "I got it back, that punk. Seriously. Hmmmp, let's just go back," she told herself.
Lily returned to her classroom, lost in thought, wondering why time seemed to pass more slowly than usual. She settled into her seat, still absorbed in her thoughts.
"Hey, Lily," Minho said, breaking the silence.
Lily: "What's up, Minho?"
Minho: "I came over since Pran wasn't around."
Lily: "Yeah, please leave me alone."
Minho: "I won't. I'll stay right here."
Minho cracked a joke, and Lily's mood lightened. She allowed Minho to stay, finding his company comforting. Time flew by, and soon the school day ended. Lily had forgotten about the earlier incident, laughing at Minho's quirky humor. He even offered her medicine, showing a caring side that surprised her.
She mentioned the incident to Pran, asking where he had been. Pran replied, "When I saw you leaving, I was about to follow you, but Luis showed up."
Lily wondered who Luis was.
