☤ chapter 01 ☤

*authors note* : hi friends! im so excited to start this new story but just a fair warning this will be an insanely slow burn, with only minimal miscommunication. also this show speaks on a lot of racial injustices as well as modern issues. a majority of these topics and conversations are apart of  Hondo's story and this fic is about my OC and Luca's story so I will not be writing in depth about any of those story lines. thank you for understanding :)

Before the Incident:

Slamming her car door shut, Alyx walked into the SWAT headquarters upset, very upset. Turns out when she wasn't looking Chris and Tan had decided to prank Alyx by putting glitter into her air vents. The brown haired woman had the intention of escaping the scorching LA heat and writing up her last report in her car. The second she turned the knob up to blast her fan heaps of glitter attacked the woman blind. Her front seat covered in glitter while she struggled to exit the Jeep. 

Heads turned as they caught a glimpse of the sparkly woman, she could hear the various remarks and loud laughs but continued to scour the building in hope to find the two trouble-makers. 

"Where are they?" The men around her only laughed and shrugged. Annoyed Alyx continued to look around in the various places Chris or Tan could possibly hide; when she couldn't find either of them she decided to head to the tech room in hopes of hiding from the indefinite social torture she just endured.

Alyx had walked into the headquarters rushed and frantic, to say she was nervous was a complete understatement. Her bag was flung over her shoulder, papers and random wires threatening to fall; she clutched onto a heavy computer and fumbled with her new security card. She wasn't late by any means but she was desperate to show up at least a little early in hopes to impress her superiors. 

Once the woman made it into the building she had to take a deep breath, it wasn't like she was overstrung or anything. I'm scared shitless. Alyx had tried to look around for a familiar face but couldn't, so she decided to head for the room Buck had taken her to before.

"Lynxy! Is that you?" The woman spun around seeing Luca smiling widely at her, Chris and Tan behind him also surprised to see her.

"Hi! I'm so glad to see you guys." She struggled to maintain the items in her hands, before another one of her new drones could fall to the floor Luca and Tan were quick to help her. The two men picked up the random cords and pieces that managed to fall, Chris already directing Alyx  towards her new home. 

"Here, we can show you to the new tech room!" Alyx nodded excitedly at Chris. "It's not pretty to say the best but Cortez said you have free reign over the space. She also gave you a budget." Alyx looked at Chris with a raised eyebrow and a small smirk.

The trio led Alyx to a spacious room with an overflow of junk, seeing the mess Alyx sighed in despair. 

"Oh my fu-."

"Heyyyy, we can help!" Luca laughed at Alyx's hunched figure. 

Hours went by and with the help of Luca and Tan the boxes and old equipment had been moved out and replaced by the satisfaction of an empty room. Alyx and Chris had been looking on Amazon to see what they could buy, the price slowly going up and the budget long forgotten.
