this episode of SWAT talks about a very touchy subject due to the current state of our society today and I wanted to focus more on building my oc, and going into depth about her importance and friendships. while also staying true to the show!

Alyx and Justin were walking into the SWAT headquarters when Mumford approached the two; "Toro Ochoa."

"Excuse me?" Alyx reached for the manilla file he held out, the name sounded briefly familiar but she couldn't put a pin on exactly why.

"We're taking over–well. Helping with an ICE case." Justin furrowed his brow and pursed his lips, looking over his friend's shoulder to view the lengthy history the man had.

"Isn't that out of jurisdiction? Why would SWAT have any business with ICE?" Mumford shrugged, clearly only there to deliver the news as he was quick to change course for Hondo's team. Luca sent the woman a soft smile and a firm thumbs up, which she returned by sticking her tongue out like a lizard.

"You know the name?" Alyx continued to walk towards the tech room, Justin following hurriedly.

"Yeah, he's an L-2D wanted for murder. Had a few run-ins with various cases that seemed to fall under his lead." Alyx nodded, continuing to flip through the various police reports and general suspicions made by a mixture of uniform officers and investigators.

"So...I don't understand." Justin turned the lights on to the tech room while Alyx stood in the doorway. "What does ICE want us to do now that their trace is cold?"

"They want us to track him down."

"Jesus!" Alyx struggled to keep the file upright in her hands but let a few loose papers fall after Luca decided to scare the woman blind. Justin let out a short huff of laughter before helping his friend pick up the documents on the floor. Luca and Street walked into the room and made themselves comfortable on the beanbags next to the testing area. Street grabbed the remote and turned on the main TV, the four slowing their movements and watching the scene intently.

"In a raid this morning, an LAPD officer is seen here handing a suspect's ID over to a federal official." Street stood up, his arms crossed over his chest as the newswoman spoke.

"My brother Carlos is a good man. He is not a criminal, and he is not in a gang, and now because of this officer he's being deported?" Alyx looked carefully at Street, Justin putting his head down and rubbing his eyes. "I thought the police here were different. By arresting my brother, they've broken their promises to this community." Alyx turned off the TV when she heard Hicks calling for Jim, she ushered both him and Luca out of the tech room.

Once the two left Alyx dramatically fell into the beanbag Luca previously occupied, "This might be a long day." Justin shook his head in disbelief before taking a seat in one of the stools.

"LA is a sanctuary city so I understand the concern. Let's just do this for the time being." Justin gestured towards the pile of vests that sat comically on the table.

"Let's."

"So here is what ICE sent over on Ochoa, mixed with a little bit of my work and Justin's" Alyx approached the table standing at the head while plugging her iPad into the system.

"I don't get it. We provide support for an op, provide backup when they can't corral anyone, I get in trouble?" Alyx bit her lip awkwardly at Street's aggravation but Luca and Deacon were quick to provide reassurance for him. Chris and Tan quickly fire back at Deacon's comment that both committed a similar offense in the eye of the law.
