"What is so funny, Alyx? Shouldn't you be on comms?" The brown-haired woman laughed loudly at her phone, turning the screen to show her superior.

"Look, I caught Luca sleeping in HQ again." Cortez sighed.

"You're his friend, can't you find him somewhere to stay?" Alyx's laughing died down and she turned her phone off; after sending the photo to Chris.

"We've tried Jess. It's like he likes couch surfing."

"What about your place?" Alyx quickly shook her head.

"No way. I adore Luca for all that he is but if I have to let him bring over multiple dates all the time and then watch him eat all of my food. While also messing up my work, and then-".

"Okay. Okay I get it. Once this op is done I want you and the team to figure it out for him. The only people allowed overnight are those on call and forensics." Alyx nodded, the woman swiveled her chair to face the monitors in front of her. The woman had tapped into their comms right after Hondo had finished their little pre-op speech.

"Alrighty team, let's make this clean."

"Welcome to the party Lynx."

"Thank you, thank you Chrissy." Alyx chuckled at the groans coming from both Street and Tan. Alyx waited a bit for her team to make their breach.

"What we got Jesus?" Alyx shook her head and weakly smiled at Cortez regarding the nickname Street had given her. Ever since Jim joined the team, he loved that she was the teams 'eyes in the sky' as he would say. So he gave her the nickname Jesus whenever they were on call, it used to bother Alyx but now she doesn't mind.

"Two individual's on the second floor. One on the third, and then two on the roof." Alyx watched while eating her snack, which happened to be Cheez-its. Cortez watched from afar conversing with Hicks, the two watched Alyx enjoy watching the team take down each suspect. She was mid-munch when her monitor started popping heat signatures in the bottom floor.

"Hey Hondo, I have a couple heat signatures in a room on the bottom floor of the building you're in." The dark-haired woman spoke while try to digest her salty snack, Hondo scoffing at Alyx's inability to speak properly.

"Copy, do you have an exact count?" Alyx tried to make a number to give Hondo as he, Deacon and Luca made their way to the room.

"Not really, but it looks like at least five individuals." Alyx couldn't see what was happening but she could hear Hondo talking to a man named Javier, and as the two were speaking he had collapsed.

Alyx had finished her file gathering and small report for the team, when she had made her way over to Hick's office to ask again about a partner in the tech room. The woman knocked on the door lightly, Hicks motioning for her to step in. She takes a few breaths before speaking up.

"I am here regarding the paperwork you have been denying." Alyx spoke slowly, and the man nodded his head. "I would really appreciate a partner, the tech room is difficult to manage while also being on call for two teams."

"I understand that, but we can't afford to add another person when you're already doing a fine enough job." Alyx rolled her eyes, while Hicks moved to sit back in his office chair.

"Respectfully Commander, you and Cortez have been RUNNING me to the ground with work, I appreciate that you believe in me and my capabilities but you are hurting me and my work on a much more emotional level." Alyx takes a deep breath. "Your." She coughs. "Men. Have been making a fool of me, telling me their guns and gear aren't shined enough. Do you know how annoying it is to turn the corner and hear your colleagues talk about why I should replace the computers with sinks?" After speaking her mind, she stared at the older man who stayed silent. For a few moments, she thought he would stand up and give her some sort of leeway.
