Forever be shaded

In the autumn of our love, the leaves fell slow,
Golden hues of memories, as our hearts let go.
The wind whispers secrets, of what could never be,
A bittersweet reminder, of you and me.

The trees stand tall and bare, their branches gray,
A skeletal reminder, of love's faded way.
The rustling of leaves, a lonely serenade,
Echoes of what we had, in a bygone shade.

Yet, even in the fading, a beauty still remains,
A poignant reminder of love's sweet, sweet refrains.
For in the autumn of our love, we found a truth,
That love's beauty lies, in its fleeting youth.

The seasons turn, and winter's chill will come,
But in my heart, our love will forever be in bloom.
For though the leaves have fallen, and our love has faded,
In memory, our hearts will forever be shaded.
