Second Marriage

Chapter ~ 1

In the Kingdom of Pratapgarh a meeting is held regarding the matter of the conflict running in the Kingdom .

"King this matter is going out of the hands ,there in an air of distress among the people of our Kingdom". An official said.

"King this not the first time we are discussing this matter that having no heir can lead to a war conflict in the Kingdom". Another official also put his concern.

Vikram Aditya Singh is well concious of the deepness of the matter that having no heir can lead the neighbouring Kingdom to attack.
After a second of deadly silence the King stated.

"Deliver the message in the Kingdom to have faith in their king."

One of the official again tried to say.

"But King we can't ju...." But he got cut off in the middle when king showed his hand and said

"Beck and call"

He said and the official replies

"Yes king."

After that the meeting was adjourned.

Leaving the courtroom Vikram paced towards his bedroom . After reaching the bedroom he tries to navigate the certain someone but couldn't .

A smile tug on his lips after realising where the person could be.He then moved towards that place in search of that person. And after reaching as predicted she was there eyes closed and hands joined doing her daily routine of offering prayers to Maa Durga .

Vikram removes his shoes and walked in the temple standing besides his wife .He too joined his hands in front of mother of the universe and offers his gratitude.

After sometimes Devika opens her eyes and look besides her and give her charming smile to her husband which could melt him in a second.

After that she brings the pooja thali and forward towards her husband he took the aarti and took a pinch of Sindoor (vermillion) and fill in her scalp.
After that she offers him prashad which he accepted with utter respect.Taking the blessing they existed the temple and reached their bedroom.

After reaching the bedroom they sat on the sofa placed in their bedroom. There was a silence for few seconds which Devika sensed and said.

"Vikram"

He looked towards her and give a smile and said.

"Don't worry Devika. I will handle this situation."

She nodded her head at him and then hug him who hugs her back.

"I have to go to other Kingdom for some important meeting regarding some matter about Pratapgarh. I will be back in a week so till then remove the stupid thoughts from your mind."

He said to which she nodded her head and looked at him with a smile.

He hold her hand and made her sit on his lap, hold her face in his hands and said.

"And don't think anything in my absence, you got me my love."

Devika nodded her head with a smile on her face and she said.

"Okay I will not but are you sure there is any other way because if not then many people will face the consequences."

Vikram put his finger on her lips shutting her up he said.

"Calm down and as I said stop thinking more."

He said this time with an authority but still softness in his tone which made her calm , she put her head on his shoulder while he wrapped his arms around her.

After sometimes she tried to get up from his lap and about to go when he hold her and again made her sit on his lap and said.

"And where do you think you are going."

He asked to which she replied to him.

"I have to go, I have some errands to look after, so I need to go and see."

He looked at her and jerk her back to his lap, holding her by wrapping his arms around her, he said.

"As I said before Devika, I am going for a week so , I want you to spend some quality time with me."

Listening to him Devika nodded her head and said.

"Okay, I will, happy now."

He give her an assuring smile and said.

"Yes, very much."

Holding her tightly he brings her face towards himself and kissed her giving her assurance of him being there for her always.

It was the night time when both the couple were laying while being in each others arms.

Devika's head was on Vikram's chest while he was caressing her back.

"I wish I could get pregnant so that these kind of issues would not have rised up."

Devika said while looking at Vikram who looked down at his wife and said.

"We can't control everything Devika, it's not your fault so don't blame yourself my love."

Devika looked at him who was already looking at her with a deep desire for her in his heart.

"You know, I always wanted to be a mother but I never got that gratification of being a mother. This is always smarting to my heart."

She utter her voice showing her deep emotions and desires. Vikram looked at her and hold her in his arms close to him.

Both of their emotions are palpable, making the environment tense, when Vikram decided to Break the stretched environment by saying.

"It's okay Devika, I am happy with you by my side. I am satisfied with you being my only indulgence."

After a pause he said.

"If that's what written in our destiny then let just be each others home."

He said to her, she looked at him smiled while he do the same.

Leaning towards her he kissed her on her forehead and then on her lips and replying to his kiss, she let the moment consume her.
