Second Marriage

Chapter ~ 4

A week has passed and today Vikram will be here , standing at the balcony Devika was sceptical about the decision she has made, what will happen when Vikram will come to know about it, how will he react.

Devika's pov.....

Today Vikram will be back from his journey after a week and I have to make him ready for his Second Marriage. How will he react I don't know.

I am at my wits' end right now, I don't know what to do.

What will happen I don't know but the thing I know is that I don't want this , I don't want to share my husband with other woman. Why there are these kinds of rules there in this world.

Hey Matarani what should I do now should I just leave the matter no,no ! what about all of his hardwork, what about all the subjects ?

Will I be happy if I throttled the happiness of other noway , I would be able to do that.

Now there is no way left for me rather than doing the unwanted.

But not now Devika you have to wait just calm down Devika.

Devika's pov ends....

Thinking about this, that she has to now convince her husband for a Second Marriage her heart is breaking in millions of pieces. A lone tear left from her eyes thinking about it.

That's when she see a convoy coming in the direction of the palace and by looking at that she understands that her husband is back. Wiping away the tears she come inside her chamber.

After sometimes she went out of her chamber when she heard that Vikram have reached the Pratapgarh.

Walking towards the entrance she saw him dismounting from his horse he looked at her smiled and then walked towards his parents.

After taking the blessings from them he went to his chamber to take rest with Devika following him behind.

"Everything for your bath is already prepared so you just go and take a good bath and till then I will bring your food."

She was speaking while Vikram was just looking at her. After telling him everything she was about to go when.

"Devika"

He said to which she stopped and after taking a deep breath she turned back , walking towards her he stand infront of her and asked.

"That's not how I was ever welcomed by you, so dull."

Hearing what he was saying Devika feels a little guilty for making him worry by her abnormal behaviour just after he came back from a long journey being tired , she looked up at him who was looking at her already , again calming her heartbeat she said with a smile on her lips.

"It's nothing like that Vikram actually I thought you must be tired so, I just want you to take a good bath and rest , that's it."

He was just looking at her while she was saying things without meeting his eyes, but he shrugged it for now so he can talk to her later with no hush.

"Okay if that's what you say, but we will definitely talk later about the real matter, for now I will follow your current advice."

Saying so he walked towards the bathroom to take a good bath after giving her a forehead kiss  but his thoughts were still lingering on Devika and her behaviour.

After taking bath for sometime and feeling relaxed Vikram come out of the bathroom dressed up in his night clothes.

While Devika just entered the chamber having the food plate in her hands.

Settling the dishes down on the table she walked towards him said.

"Come let's have Dinner Vikram."

Turning towards her he said.

"Let's go."

Both of them sat down on the couch and started to have food.
Breaking a piece of chapati and dipping it in curry  Vikram forwards towards Devika, who looked at him and then at the his hand , with a smile on her lips she take the food in her mouth.

"Stop playing with food, it is to eat not to play."

He said to which she looked at him he smiled and peck her lips, she also shred a piece of chapati dipped in the curry and feed him.

After sometimes they finished their food but as it was already late so Devika asked him to take rest.

Vikram nodded his head and said.

"What about the things that are running in your mind."

Devika shake her head knowing well that it is not the right time for her to bring that particular topic. So she said.

"Its nothing important so for now you just rest I know you must be tired."

"Devika I am asking once again what is it that you are not telling me."

Shaking her head she looked at him and try to make some excuse as he just came back from a week of journey and must be tired,  she doesn't want to bring him in the conversation which may result in argument between them so pulling a smile on her lips she said.

"Its nothing like what you are thinking, I am just missing my parents all of a sudden so that's why I am like this , I sorry if I made you worried about me."

Saying this she hug him and kissed him, he hold her nape and indulged himself within the moment for now. After sometimes she breaks the kiss and looked at him pecking his lips one more times she said.

"You should take some rest for now , It's already late."

Vikram didn't pressure her about it and it was also somewhat true that he was tired and need rest.

"Okay let's not dwell into it much for now as I am to hella tired so let's just sleep."

He said to which Devika nodded her head and said.

"Let me just change my clothes I will be right back."

Vikram nodded his head and then he went towards the bed and she went towards the bathroom to change her clothes.

After sometimes she come back and then walked towards the bed where her husband was already laying and waiting for her.

She lay besides him and he too hold her in his arms.

"Good night Vikram."

She wished him good night to which he replied her with a kiss.

After that they both fell asleep in each other arms.
