Outside, Vijay took a deep breath, the weight of the confrontation lifting from his shoulders. He knew he had to act quickly to keep his promise to Sitara. As he drove away, his mind raced with plans to ensure her safety and secure a future.
When Vijay reached his mansion, he found Sitara pacing anxiously. She rushed to him the moment he stepped through the door. "What happened? Did you give him the money? What did he say?"
Vijay took her hands, his touch reassuring. "It's done. I gave him the money, and I made it clear he wouldn't be seeing you again."
Sitara's eyes widened with a mixture of relief and fear. "But Gagan, sir, he's not someone who gives up easily. What if he tries to find me?"
Vijay looked into her eyes, his voice firm and steady. "He won't. I'll make sure of it. You and Abhay are leaving tonight. I've arranged for a place far from here where he won't be able to reach you. It's time for you to start fresh, without his shadow looming over you."
Tears filled Sitara's eyes, but this time they were tears of gratitude and hope. "Thank you, Vijay. I don't know how to repay you."
Vijay shook his head, a gentle smile on his face. "You don't need to repay me. Just focus on building the life you deserve.
As they packed Sitara's belongings and prepared to leave, along with Abhay, there was a sense of determination and optimism in the air. They knew the journey ahead would be challenging, but with each other's support, they were ready to face whatever came their way. And for the first time in a long while, Sitara felt a glimmer of hope for a brighter future.
Days passed, and the wedding of Gagan and Priya was fast approaching. With only five days left, Gagan found himself unable to let go of his thoughts about Sitara. No matter what he did, memories of her haunted him. In a moment of despair, Gagan drank excessively in his room, drowning his sorrows in alcohol.
"Sitara, why did you leave me?" Gagan slurred, talking to himself. "You said you loved me, right? Then why? Oh, I know... I hurt you, right? I hurt you badly. I need a punishment; that's why you left. Is this your way of punishing me?" His voice, laced with alcohol and sorrow, sounded like a child's.
