"Jungwon! Do you have the files I asked you to print yesterday?"
"Yes, Sir. I have it right here, along with the copies of the report from last week's meeting."
"Jungwon, where do you want me to put these boxes?"
"You can leave them on my desk, I'll take care of it."
"Jungwon! Where's my coffee?"
"Right, sorry. I'm on it!"
Jungwon was frantically running back and forth inside the office, he just finished making his manager's coffee and was about to deliver it to her. He knocked on the door and waited for the signal to go inside.
"Come in!" The manager yelled from the other side.
"Good morning, here's your coffee. I'm sorry again for the delay..." Jungwon said as he placed the coffee on the table.
"Don't worry about it. I know you're busy regarding your position in this building, so don't stress out yourself too much."
Jungwon smiled and nodded, "Yes, Ma'am. Thank you."
The manager waved him off with a smile on her face, "Alright, alright. Now go."
For the past 8 years, Jungwon has been working his butt off to help his family. Working overtime, having sleepless nights, and terrible bosses. But his hard work paid off when he got promoted, and now he's known as the most diligent and hard working employee in the building. Everyone trusts him and his work so it's no surprise that whenever someone needs help with something, they can always count on Jungwon.
Jungwon sighed as he sat back down on his chair, the morning just started and he's already exhausted. Okay. So, I have a meeting with the Chief at 10, and I need to send the files to the manager later, what else am I missing...
"Mr. Yang?"
Jungwon flinched when he heard a voice behind him, he relaxed a bit when he saw it was just his assistant.
"Good morning, Ms. Kim. How can I help you?"
Ms. Kim took out her tablet and started tapping on the screen, "Well I'm here to remind you that Sir Lucas is waiting for the letter of approval, he wants it sent to him within the day."
Jungwon nodded and proceeded to work, "Alright, tell him I'll send it after lunch. Is there anything else?"
Ms. Gwen hummed and scrolled down on her tablet, "You have an interview with a client later." Jungwon stopped typing and looked at Ms. Kim, "What time is that again?"
"2:00 PM, sir."
Jungwon hummed and nodded, putting his hand on his chin while thinking. I completely forgot about the interview. I've been so busy these days that it just wondered off my mind.
ding!
Jungwon took out his phone from his pocket and checked who texted, "Just some scammer. I should change my number." He was about to turn off his phone when he saw his lock screen wallpaper, it was a picture of a man looking down at his electric guitar as he plays a tune. The picture was black and grey and it looked like he was inside a room.
Jungwon smiled bitterly as sighed. It has been five years since we last saw each other, I wonder how you're doing now? Jungwon's thoughts were interrupted with a knock on the door, he fixed his posture and turned off his phone and immediately wore his work face.
