"EVERYONE, PLEASE RETURN to your vehicles. Go back to your cars. Remain calm." The voice of a police officer echoed through a megaphone as Peter swung me down to the road below the bridge, away from where Gwen was with the taxi. "Do not panic. Everyone return to your vehicles. Go into your homes."

People were doing quite the opposite, running around, panicking and screaming while cars beeped and streetlights sparked.

"Officer!" Peter called out as the two of us ran up to the man.

"Spider-Man!" The cop called back, still through the megaphone, which made both of us wince.

"My father was-" I stopped for a second before shaking my head. He couldn't help us. "Captain George Stacy of the 19th Precinct was my Dad."

"Yeah, I knew who he was. What can we do?" The cop asked.

"Jumper cables." I told him.

"Jumper cables?" He repeated.

"Yes. And copper wire." I added.

"Am I talking louder than I usually talk right now?!" Peter yelled the question at me.

"Yes."

"Oh!"

Moments later I was attaching the jumper cables to Peter's web shooters and the cop was in the front of his car.

"Your suit'll ground you." I told Peter as I held the jumper cables.

"Alright, do it."

"Ah!" I jumped at the sparks that shot out from them.

"Okay, good. Try, try, try. Hurry, hurry, hurry." Peter said as I unclipped the necklace I was wearing from my neck and held it to his shooter. He turned his wrist over and the necklace didn't fall. "Okay, it works, good."

"And that is why you were third at Midtown." I told him with a smile as I did my necklace back up around my neck.

"Rub it in. Okay." I could tell Peter was rolling his eyes under his mask as he quickly moved around me to help clip my necklace on again even though I didn't ask him.

There was an explosion of sparks and electricity and the sign of a store nearby was now coming off of its hinges.

"I gotta go." Peter said.

"I'm going with you." I told him.

"No, you're not coming with me." He stated.

"Yes, I am."

"Y/N, it's too dangerous."

"I'm coming with you. I've seen the grid specs and I know how to reset the entire system." Gwen definitely knew all of it better than I did, but I knew it all enough to be able to do it on my own.
