PETER AND I walked out onto the roof together and made our way across to the edge.

"Well, that was something." I sighed.

"I'm sorry." Peter apologized as he stopped at the ledge beside me. "You know, I thought he was going to arrest me at one point."

"No, I wouldn't have let him arrest you." I bumped Peter's arm with my own. "And if I couldn't stop him, I'd get Gwen on the job. And if that didn't work, well, we'd just have to break you out of prison."

"Why do you live with Gwen anyway?" Peter suddenly asked and my smile dropped. "Well, I mean, I know the whole... with your parents and all. But why with the Stacys?"

I paused and turned to look at Peter before looking back at the skyscrapers before us.

"My grandparents were dead and I had no aunts or uncles. No immediate family. So when my parents..." I stopped. "George was my dad's partner before he was the Captain. My dad was a cop, too."

Peter didn't say anything, he just listened.

"I don't exactly know all the details, but I know because he was my dad's best friend, George offered for him and Helen to take me in. And they did." I shrugged. "It does confuse people a lot when they find out Gwen and I aren't just best friends and are practically sisters."

There was a moment of silence. Peter smiled before taking a deep breath.

"Anyway, what happened to your face?" I asked, talking about his bruise, at the same moment he said, "I wanna tell you something."

We both turned to face each other, and we were standing very close.

"I've been bitten..." He muttered and I just stared at him, or more-so his lips. I wanted to kiss him. "Okay. Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, I gotta tell you this one thing. I gotta tell you this one thing and it's about the vigilante and the car thief, alright."

"Oh." My face fell a little. "Okay."

"What?" I gave him a look. "No, no, no, no."

"I don't wanna talk about that again." I told him.

"Forget that. I'm not gonna talk about that." He told me quickly. "I'm gonna talk about me, okay?"

"What about you?" I asked.

"It's impo- I wish I could just-" He gestured with his hands around his mouth. "I can't. It's hard to say."

"You can tell me." I said softly, my fingers grazing against his hand.

"I don't know." He mumbled.

"Say it."

He pulled his hand away and turned so I was facing his side and he was looking out at the city.

He then sighed deeply and I stepped closer.

"What, Peter?" I asked and he stood up straighter again, turning his head to look at me. "What?"

He smiled for a small moment before quickly shaking his head and looking down again.

"Fine. Okay, whatever, then." I turned around to walk away, put the feeling of something hitting my lower back made me jump.

I glanced back to see what looked like a spiderweb connecting from Peter's arm to my back. Then I was pulled back towards him and into his arms.

I gripped into him tightly and he held my waist.

"What the hell?" I gasped out before looking down at the web, then at him. "It's you?"

Then his lips were on mine in a kiss. Peter was kissing me.

"You're Spider-Man." I managed the words out in a breath as we pulled apart for a moment.

"Shut up." He said before kissing me again, his hands on either side of my face and mine around his body to grab onto his back.

"Y/N?" A faint voice came from the doorway as the kiss between Peter and I grew deeper. "Y/N- Oh."

My hands dropped away from Peter quickly and I turned to see Gwen in the doorway. Thank God it was her and not anybody else.

Peter turned his back to her and I bit my lip as she continued to talk.

"Um, Dad wants you to come inside now." She told me and I nodded. "Like, right away."

"Okay." I nodded, and looked over to see Peter nodding along too.

"Y/N." Gwen gave me a serious look and I sighed.

"Okay, I'm coming." As I walked to the door, I glanced back to see Peter had stopped following me halfway and was now looking out at the city before he started moving closer to the edge of the rooftop.

I then watched as he jumped off the edge like it was nothing.

"Oh, God." I covered my face and ran to catch up to Gwen.

By the time we got back to the apartment, Gwen turned around.

"Where's Peter?" She asked me.

"Um... He had to go." I wasn't sure exactly what to say. "Something came up."

"I bet." Gwen said with the slightest amused smirk and I shot her a small glare.

We walked inside and I looked around the apartment.

"Where's Dad?" I asked Gwen.

"He had to leave. Cop thing." She shrugged. "So you and Peter were just... making out on the rooftop?"

"Okay, we weren't making out." I scoffed.

"Right. Well, it definitely looked like making out."

"Mhm, well, time to shut up now before one of the boys hear."

"Too late." Philip said, wiggling his eyebrows as he walked out of the bathroom, right next to us.
