The noisy town fades as we ride out into the wilderness, Scarlett my "Prince Charming" for the night focusing on the road ahead. The night is cool with a full moon illuminating the surrounding forest. As we climb up the hill, I can see the land spreading out into the horizon. That same clop clop sound as we ride the horse, reminds me of the time I first came to Rhode town.
Scarlett: Ronald! I came here too with Peter; hope you don't mind!
Scarlett slows down the horse to a stop and gets off. She walks up to Ronald.
Scarlett: What are you doing out here in the middle of nowhere on the night of the harvest festival?
Ronald is standing by a tree next to his horse.
I get off the horse.
Me: Hey Ronald, you wanted to meet me? something important came up?
Ronald stares at me blankly. Scarlett turns to look at me and then back at Ronald.
Ronald: Yes, you are right..........Peter can you tell me why you came to this town.
Me: Um yeah sure, I came here to assist Dr Herbert.
Ronald: And what exactly did you help Dr Herbert with?
Me: Well, there is an illness the cattle are suffering from, and Dr. Herbert is here to help cure that.
Me:(Strange, Ronald seems so off today, his voice is cold and distant. Where the usual friendly guy I saw these past few days?)
Ronald: And What exactly did you do to help him?
Me: I was injured I couldn't do much.
Ronald: Yes, I know your story, now tell me the part you're keeping a secret!
Me: Secret? Ronald, I haven't kept any secrets- I don't know what you're talking about.
Scarlett: STOP! Stop fighting you two, I don't know what's going on but plea-
Suddenly Ronald grabs Scarlett by the arm and hold her in front of him. A metallic clicking sound snaps loudly from behind Scarlett.
Ronald: Move and you die!
Me:(No way! He is holding Scarlett hostage, but why?? What is going on)
Me: RONALD! WHAT DO YOU WANT??
Ronald: I want- I want you to answer honestly.
Me: I am, I have been honest with you completely!
Ronald: Oh YEAH? Well how about the part where you tell me that you are not FROM THIS WORLD!
Me: (............How does he know that?! Only the King and those close to him know that, how did he...)
Ronald: So, it is true......you really are......I can't believe it.
Ronald: Peter, I don't know how much Herbert has told. Maybe he's given you a sweet deal, or maybe you're acting without a choice....
Me: (What is he talking about??)
Ronald: But Peter, know this, you must not trust Dr. Herbert, or the King or anyone from the Palace for that matter. The reason why you came here isn't to cure sick cattle. Are you crazy, one the head Doctors of the Kingdom coming down to this remote village just to cure some cattle! What a Joke!.............The real reason you're here is to catch me......
Me:( I keep hoping he'll start making sense, but he just gets crazier with every sentence.)
Ronald lets go of Scarlett. Scarlett runs up to me immediately.
