Ochako's POV:

Brrt brrt.
My phone buzzed.

"It's almost two in the morning..." I groaned. My messy hair fluffed up as I rose off of my pillow and reached for my phone.

"Tsu?" I mumbled in an exhausted whisper. She had sent me a long ass paragraph full of capitalized letters.

GIRL, I HEARD
MIDORIYA JUST
LINKED WITH
CAMIE!!

My heart sunk. There's no way this could be true. Deku wouldn't hurt me like this... right? Right. Tsu is just hearing rumors again like she did last month. Still, it's odd that it's about Izuku and Camie again. Especially because he hasn't been spending as much time with me. There has to be a reasonable explanation for this.

I trusted Izuku with my heart. But lately, things in our relationship HAVE been feeling off. I shouldn't ignore the fact that he's not putting in as much effort as he used to. Then again, what if he's just going through a rough patch?

"Maybe.." I thought out loud.

I decided to call it a night and put my phone on DND. It was the best idea I had in a while, I think I got the best sleep of my whole life.

I woke up too early to get ready, so I decided to make some breakfast. While I was doing so, I scrolled through my boyfriend's Instagram, which had a few new stories posted. I watched them all. Not a single one of them even had a girl in sight!

"Tsk. Just another boy's night." I muttered underneath my breath.

My father had already left to work, and my mother was still in bed. I decided on something small since we didn't really have any groceries...

"Toast and strawberry jam." I grinned with accomplishment. "That outta do it!"

I check the time.

8:15am.

Most classes in college start around 9-10am. So, truly, I wasn't in a rush anywhere. Still, I decided to go get dressed and head down to the coffee shop near campus. At least if I was there, it could look like I wasn't a NEET or closed-off freak.

I dressed in fall clothes. I was wearing my crocheted scarf around my neck as I headed towards the front door.

"Bye mom!" I waved.

She swayed down the hallway with groggy eyes. "Bye dear, stay safe."

I snatched my backpack and began my hike to the campus coffee shop.

It was about a 4 block walk in total, not bad for a college student who lives off-campus.

As I walked I recieved a phone call.

"Shit. Missed it." I muttered, calling back the number that turned out to be my boyfriend from an unknown number.

"Ochako?" Deku's voice spoke out.

"Yeah?" I replied hesitantly.

"Hey babe, I'm sorry I haven't been hanging out with you as much. It's just-" He began.

I zoned out through all the blah blah blah shit he always says. When the truth is, he's just bored of me!

I audibly sighed,

"Babe?"

"Yeah? Sorry, I'm just tired." I falsely reassured him.

"Ok, cool, I'll cya tonight!" His voice cut out as I clicked the screen to hang up.

The cool breeze wafted against my face along with the smell of fall and pumpkin spice lattes getting closer to me.

I entered the coffee shop, placing my bag on the back of my chair and sliding into the booth. Infront of me was a group of friends that were talking awfully loud considering how early it was.

"Yeah yeah, you should've seen that girl scurry!" The one with black hair and tattoos cackled.

He was older than me, but not by a lot. He also resembled Todoroki by quite a bit. I should sneak a picture to show him for giggles.

I took out my phone and stealthily took a photo of the guy hooting and hollering about some nonsensical frat boy shit.

"Hey, shiggy... Did that chick just get a picture of us without OUR permission?" The guy rose his voice enough to make sure I heard him say that. Making this situation a lot more awkward...

I put my phone down swiftly, looking around like, "whatttt?"

"Hey, give us the phone." A blue haired man muttered through his cracked lips.

"I don't think that would be necessary..." I laughed, attempting to alleviate the situation.

The two guys looked at eachother and grabbed my bag.

"Hey!" I called out. Standing up out of my seat to grab it back.

"Not so fast. Give us the phone or we keep the bag." The men chuckled.

I looked back at the booth they were sitting at to see a girl with two blonde buns peering over the seat at me with a reddened face.

She saw me.

I saw her.

She stood up, not like she was any taller than me. But she punched the black-haired dude in the gut and snatched the bag back.

"Enough, Dabi." She scowled.

She then handed my bag back to me with a toothy smile. A smile that showed her canine teeth.

I was taken aback.

"Thank you." I muttered shortly after the girl lowered her head.

She was blushing. It was... an odd feeling I felt seeing a girl get so flustered over me. I'm not saying it was bad or anything, though!

I kinda liked it...
