Chapter 25: Confusion and Terror

I finish up my plate and Kash and I lean backwards into our chairs.
"That was amazing Mr. Tsuyoi!" Kash says happily. My papa laughs, "Thank you Kash!" Then he glances at me.
     "Chibi?" he says softly.
Oh crap.
Here he goes.

      "I was just wondering how you were doing. How was your mission? I would like to hear it from you. My granddaughter" he says softly. My stomach immediately began to sink.
"It was great pa. Just wonderful" I quickly say. He turns his head.
"After all, I do have Tsuyoi blood. One of the strongest around, right?" I whisper.
                                   My papa pauses.
I glance at the clock and it's 7:30pm.
I'm supposed to meet Oko at the arena booth at 8! Damn it.
         "Well this was fun but I actually have to go to the market really quickly just to grab some things. I have needs" I say calmly.
My papa nods his head, "Would you grab some more eggs for me while your out? Here. Take this cash" and glances at Kash. "Hey you should take Kash with you. He can walk you back home" my papa says cheerfully.
Wait what?
"Uh no that's okay pa. I'm sure Kash has lots to do since he is back in town" I quickly say. 
                "Actually Chibi, I don't have anything planned. I could walk with you if you'd like. I don't mind at all" Kash says softly. I glance up at him and there it is.
That look.
Ay ay ay...What is with everybody? Or is that just me?
     "That's alright Chibi? Right?" My papa says cheerfully.
"Sure. I guess I don't mind" I say calmly.
"Awesome! You guys look after each other now. I love you, my little Chi" my papa says calmly.
I smile softly and walk out. Kash follows and my papa shuts the door behind us. I immediately start walking.
   "Hey Chibi wait up!" Kash shouts, "Wait..this isn't the way to the market?" Kash says calmly. I quickly turn and stop right in front of him. "Listen, I am not going to the supermarket okay? And I certainly don't need your protection either!" I snap. Kash's eyes flinch. "Look...Kash I am fine. I just want to clear my head and take a break from thinking about this mission...alright?" I say softly.
He shakes his head, "Got it. Sorry to bother you" he whispers and walks off.

Into the darkness.

Damn it. What is with me?!
As much as I am grateful for what he did...it's too much. It just keeps replaying in my head. Over and over!
I sigh and start walking. Why the hell am I going to this arena booth anyways? Why now of all times? Shit.

I finally arrive and head to the top. Here I am.
So this is what it looks like from right here. You really do have a good view. Geez.
I stand and look out to where I battled others to get here. If they would've won and had my mission, would it have been different? Would they even be alive right now?
No, stop Chibi. Don't think like that. A tear falls down and I hear a creak. I instantly turn, "Whose there?" I shout. Nothing.
"I'm not in the mood for games! I will seriously beat your ass!" I shout again. Then I see hands lift up and they walk out of the shadow...
Oko.
"Seriously dude?? You play an awful lot!" I snap.
He shakes his head, "I've heard. So you actually came huh?" he says calmly.
I turn my head, "Umm yes?" I say sarcastically. He chuckles a little then walks forward. Right until he's looking over me...
          I'm looking and I immediately roll my eyes, "I said yes" I snap.
He smiles, "So" he says softly, "Even when I tried ruining your little mission, why'd you tell me you guys weren't gonna say anything about me being there huh?" I flinch backwards and take a step back.
                "Are you telling me I should've said something about you being there with us??" I snap.
He quickly says, "Don't."
"You know what?" I say softly, "You could've messed this up, BIG TIME for us! So yeah whatever, you got a sudden change of heart, but does that mean we can even really trust you? Why the sudden change of heart matter of fact?"        Oko looked slowly to the ground then back at me and smiled softly.

-BOOM!-

Right in that moment, the middle of the arena blows up.
"Holy shit!" I shout as I duck down. Oko quickly does the same, grabbing his pen out from underneath his shirt.
      What the hell? Of course he has that shit.
"Oko?! What in the hell is this?" I shout. "Ummm I don't exactly know Chibi!" He shouts back then his eyes quickly widen up, looking up ahead.

So I look too.

                                                            Men. It has to be at least 50 of them! What in the actual hell?!?! Why are they here?? Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Breathe damnit!
"Okay. Chibi? They know we're standing up here! I can see them looking dead in my eye!" Oko shouts sarcastically.
"I know I know!" I shout back! We both instantly walk up, looking back at them. Watching.
"We have to do something. Now!" I snap quietly.
Oko stares off. Looks like he's zoned out. Scared even....
I immediately punch his arm.
"Ouchhh!" he screams.
"We have to fix this!" I snap.
He nods his head and we look back down. Wait....the guy up front....looks like he's....holding a remote?
OH SHIT!
As the man goes to raise his arm, holding this remote, something wraps around my body and I immediately get taken out of there. I swear it feels as if time is moving slowly. I turn to Oko as my body leaves the building and that man pushes the button. Everything is blowing up in that exact second!
      As I fall back farther the whole arena booth had been blown up! I quickly fly into open arms and I turn my body when I land. Kash?!
"Kash what the hell??! What are you doing here?! Anyways! This is really bad! Look! These men!" I shout.
He grabs my shoulders and looks me dead in the eyes, "Chibi! Listen to me! We'll find out why they're here, when we beat their asses! Okay? Now, let's show them how strong we are! We can do this!" he calmly shouts. My eyes immediately widen.
He's right.
I'm not weak.
I'm a Tsuyoi.

                       I turn my body around and look at the arena booth. Oko. I dash towards it and Kash follows behind me. The men immediately start heading to us. I notice and stomp the ground, creating 4 small boulders, kicking it towards them. As I turn forward, 5 stand in front of me.
Damn they're fast!
    I stop instantly and I hear Kash stop two. Here we go.
They all dash towards us. The same moment that I knock out two, Kash knocks out one and breaks another ones arm. Holy shit!
Then was one. And he was fast.
He played like he was aiming at me, but he flips and kicks Kash. I then kick the side of stomach causing him to fly back.
"Shit are you okay?" I shout with worry. He nods and smiles, "Don't worry about me. It'll take a lot more than that. I promise" Kash says softly. Then he straightens up his posture.
"Alright. Next!" he snaps.
