Jake's POV

He's insane. He's absolutely insane. Did he really just kidnap some random girl? That's madness on another level.

What is he expecting to happen? She'll just suddenly fall in love with him after they spend some time together? Jay never thinks things through, he's always acting without thinking first.

But to be honest, I see why he likes her... no. No, I shouldn't be thinking like that. I shake my head to remove the thoughts from my head. I'm not going to fall in love with her, too.

I continue making my way to the kitchen as Jay told me to. Sometimes, I question why I always do whatever he tells me. But for now, I'll just do as I've always done.

Once I arrive, I push open the door and head to a cabinet to grab a tray. I quickly microwave some oatmeal and prepare some slices of bread and fruit. Once done, I arrange them all on the tray before leaving again.

I head towards the girl's room, pushing the door open slowly when I arrive. I find her asleep on the floor in what looks to be a very uncomfortable position. Her delicate frame is curled up on the cold stone floor, with no blanket to aid her in her misery.

I walk to her quietly and place the tray down next to her. I tap her shoulder gently, trying to wake her up without scaring her. She shifts, and I remove my hand from her shoulder quickly. I watch her, expecting her eyes to open any second now, but she remains asleep. I groan internally, then try again. "Nabi," I whisper as I push her shoulder, "wake up, please."

She groans, and her eyes flutter open. She has beautiful eyes, I notice. They were a stunning shade of blue, the color reminding me of the ocean. They were deep, too. Her eyes are as deep as the ocean, and it put me in a trance.

"Why are you here?" she asks, bringing me out of my daze. I shake my head, remembering why I came here in the first place.

"Um, here you go," I tell her, pushing the food in her direction. "I brought you food."

"Oh, so you care about my wellbeing now?" She asks sarcastically.

I frown. "I didn't think it would be the best idea to let you starve to death so soon," I respond simply.

"How kind of you."

I roll my eyes at her sarcasm, choosing to ignore her attitude for now. "Just eat."

"I can't, remember? You idiots tied up my damn hands."

"Ah, right." I consider untying her hands for the moment and weigh the pros and cons. I'm sure she wouldn't be able to do much damage if I unrestricted her. If she does come for me, I know I could take her down. But I'm not sure if that's a risk that I'm willing to take. "I'll feed you then." I pick up the spoon, scooping some of the oatmeal into it and bringing it close to her mouth. But as I do so, my mind races. What am I doing? Why do I care so much?

"What did you just say?"

"I'll feed you," I repeat, without thinking.

"No."

"No?"

"Just untie my hands," she demands.

"I don't want to."

"Then I won't eat."

"So you'd rather starve yourself than to eat the food I feed you?" I ask, raising my brow.
