EPILOGUE 2

One year later.

Avyukta

My wife grins as I lift the paperbag in air to indicate that I bought her favorite items.
" Oh god this is so yummy. " She says as she takes a bite of a burger.

I lean on my fist after placing my hand on dashboard to view her fully as she eats.

" Have some!! " She says.

" I'm fine, you eat. "

" I swear, Avi. It is a foodie." She points to her belly.

" Yeah I'm sure she is. " I say calmly. Yes you guessed it right. My wife is pregnant. Her second trimester started today.

Her pregnancy reveal was kinda funny for me as that day, I woke up to her screaming in bathroom.
" What happened, honey? Are you okay? Is there a lizard?" I asked as I went there.

" Avi. " She said and came to me as she handed me the pregnancy device.

She took my hand and placed it at her belly as I turned the device and saw two lines. I went wild. I literally screamed my heart out because I was gonna be a father in nine fucking months.

We celebrated that day and since then I can't wait to welcome my daughter. Yes I know it'll be a daughter.

" How do you know it's a she? " I come out of my trance when my wife asks the question.

" I just know. " I tell her and push her hair strands behind her ear so that she can eat peacefully.

Later when I delivered our baby, I couldn't believe my eyes that God gave us a daughter. That was for second time I thought I believed the God. The first one was when I entered the temple with Radhika, the day she confessed.

After a year.

Radhika

I slide my direction towards the living room from where small steps are approaching me, I extend my hands so that I can hug her. But as she reaches me she continues running and brushes past me, I turn around to see my husband hugging our one year old daughter, Avika.

" She loves me more, hon'. Don't be jealous. " He winks towards me and I smile a little at the way he has grown mature in all these years.

My feelings for him has grown each day because he's showered me with all the love, care and happiness that he promised when we got married. It would be an understatement to say that I am happy with him. What I feel with him is beyond that.

" Yeah yeah, I know the papa ki pari she is. " I say and move towards her to kiss her but she turns her head backwards.

" Why baby? Are you angry with mama? "

" Baby say no. " Avi asks her and she says no in her adorable baby voice.

" Then why? "

" Because her papa is angry with you!! Right baby? " And our packet of devilry nods at me.

" And why is that? " I ask putting my hands on either side of my waist in a typical mom pose.

" Because you didn't kiss me good morning today. "

" Oh god Avi. Don't act like a baby, you literally have one now and I was busy with her."

" You could have done it before going to her okay? I mean it takes only thirty seconds to peck a cheek! Right baby ?" She nods again, laughing this time, and I'm done with this impossible duo.

" What? Where are you going? " He follows me into the kitchen.

" I have work to do and have less time to waste with you impossible people. "
