---The day before yesterday, Meilin decided to meet Owen. She tried to stay calm, but her aching heart wouldn't let her remain silent any longer."Owen, I need to talk to you," Meilin said, her voice serious.
Owen looked up from his bicycle, a puzzled expression on his face. "What is it, Meilin? What's wrong?"
"How much longer will it take for you to realize that I've always been by your side?"
Meilin asked, her eyes filled with hope.
"I know you liked Shelly, but she's gone. I'm here, right in front of you, but you never see me."
Owen frowned, taken aback by Meilin's outburst. "Meilin, I... I didn't know you felt that way. I've always seen you as my best friend."
"Just a best friend?" Meilin said, her voice breaking.
"I've tried so hard to show you that I care about you, but you always looked towards Shelly."
"Think about everything I've done for you and what you've received from me. If I only wanted to be friends, I wouldn't have done so much." Meilin wiped away the tears streaming down her cheeks.
Owen tried to stay calm, but his emotions began to flare up. "Meilin, I can't control my feelings. I loved Shelly, and that doesn't change just because she's gone."
"And what about me?" Meilin shouted.
"I've always been here, always by your side. I've done everything for you, but you never cared."
"I never asked you to, Linn. I can't love you just because you want me to," Owen protested, his voice filled with pain.Owen's words felt like a knife to Meilin's heart. She took a deep breath, tears falling down her face. "You're right, Owen. I can't force you to love me. And I can't keep going like this."Owen was silent, looking at Meilin with pained eyes.
"I'm going back to Korea," Meilin said, her voice colder. "I need time to find myself again and to forget about my feelings for you."Owen looked shocked. "Linn, I... I"
"Don't say anything more, Owen. I've already decided," Meilin interrupted. "I hope that one day you'll realize everything I've done for you."
Meilin turned and walked away, leaving Owen with his swirling thoughts. He felt a deep sense of loss and emptiness but understood that Meilin needed time to heal. As Meilin left, Owen knew he had lost a precious friend, and perhaps something even more.

Now, Meilin stood at the airport, recalling the last words she had said to Owen. She looked around, seeing people rushing by, feeling the change and the beginning of a new chapter in her life. Meilin knew she needed time to heal and find herself again. She sighed, walked into the check-in area, determined to leave the memories with the Light Cavalry behind and open a new future for herself.
