Akshit, Avu and Hazel left after some time. Zalak and Sid see them off. Ram also came to meet them before they left. He asked them not to worry and assured them everything would be fine.
Vibha didn't come out of her room. They all were expecting her to at least come and wish them before they left even for formality. But deep down they all knew she was not coming and she didn't. They left.
Zalak: Dad
Ram: Hmm?
Zalak: Kya aapko bhi Akshit pasand nhi? Just because wo mujhse chhota hai? You know agar mom mujhe koi genuine reason deti mein kbhi unki baat ke against nhi jaati but ye kya hai?
Ram: Tum chinta matt karo. Wo maan jayegi. Maine bola na wo maa hai tumhari. Dukhi nhi dekh sakti apne bacho ko kbhi. Ho sakta hai thoda waqt le par maan jayegi. Tum log hi toot jaoge to kaise hoga? Aur Akshit to bohot achha ladka hai bete. Mein itna nhi jaanta usse personally. Par jitna mujhe pata hai bohot achha hai. Aur baaki ka mujje apni beti ke faisle par kbhi shak nhi ho sakta. Tune chuna hai na to achha hi hoga. Mujhe koi problem nhi trust me aur maa bhi teri maan jayegi tu chinta nhi kar. Aur mein apni beti ki aankho mein aasoon bhi to nhi dekh sakta
Sid: Hnn di aap chinta nhi karo. Mana lenge unko. Aap kisi baat ki bhi tension nhi lo. Sab kuch theek ho jayega. Aur I will make sure Akshit lekar jaaye aapko. Aur jaldi karna hoga. Uss gadhe time nhi de sakte. Usko galti se akal wakal aa gayi aur uska mood change ho gya to oh my god. Ab iss musibat ko aur nhi jhel sakta mein. Tauba tauba
Sid said touching his ears and trying to ease the atmosphere.
Zalak: Dad
Zalak whined hugging Ram.
Ram: Siddharth khabardaar tune meri beti ko chidaya to. Mein chhodoonga nhi tujhe
He said hugging her back.
Ram: Chhod isse ye to hai hi pagal
Sid smiled looking at his sister and realization hit him that maybe the time had come when his sister is gonna leave him soon. No matter how much he teased her deep inside he knew he was the one who was gonna miss her the most. In his problems with Avu, he forgot to introduce Akshit as her lover meant their days together had started to come to an end and his best friend, partner-in-crime and childhood friend is gonna leave him very soon. Time was nearing and the reality scared him to the core but at the same time he only prayed for her well-being and a new and happy life which she was beginning very soon. He wished that she be happy wherever she goes no matter what and bring happiness to her new family as well.
A few days passed.
Sid and Zalak trying to convince Vibha with hope. Ram not interfering between the kids and his wife. But kids know he is in support. The same hope Akshit and Avni are holding. However, Avni is more scared and worried than all she knows and trusts his words and promises. No matter what, he will be right beside her and Hazel.
After a few days. It was afternoon time. Zalak came home from school. She saw Vibha looking at photos.
Zalak: Maa ye kiski photo dekh rahi ho?
She asked to confirm the question which came to her mind, making her restless.
Vibha: Apne bete ke liye achi ladki dhund rahi hoon. Tere liye bhi ye kuch ladke hai jo mujhe pasand hai. Tu bata in me se tujhe jo pasand aaye.
Zalak (shocked): Maa aapko andaza bhi hai aap kya bol rahe ho?
Vibha (snapped at her): Maa hoon teri.
Zalak (trying to be calm): Haa maa ho. Par kya aap aese zabardasti shaadi karaoge? Aapko pata hai hum kisi aur se pyaar karte hai.
Vibha (angrily): Jinse pyaar karte ho vo tumhare liye sahi nahi hai.
Zalak (took a deep breath and said calmly): Maa sahi ya galat koi nahi is duniya me. Sab apne thinking ke according hota hai.
Vibha: Tu kya chahti hai? Samaj me jo izzat hai sab kharab ho jaye ek baar me? Koi sahi galat nahi hota ye sab tum nayi pidi ke bolne hai. Tumhe kya pata maa baap ne kitni mehnat kar samaj me apni izzat banayi hai.
Zalak: Aap to aese bol rahe jaise Avni aur Akshit murderers ya criminals hai aur hum unse shaadi karna chahte hai. Jisse aapki izzat par sawal aayega.
Vibha: Mujhe koi behas nahi karni. Jaa hath muh dhole aur kuch kha le.
Zalak (angry and hurt): Baat aese band mat karo. Aaj to bol hi do kya hi kami hai Akshit aur Avni me?
Vibha: Maine kaha na mujhe behas nahi karni.
Zalak: Akshit sirf 3 months hi chota hai mujhse. Aap kyun kisi ko bata rahe ho humari age? Kisi ko bhi humari age se kya hi farak padna hai?
Vibha: Tujhe farak nahi padta hai par mujhe padta hai. Tera to chal galati se main haan bol bhi doon par Sid ke liye bilkul nahi. Dono ne mil kar naak katane ka pura itezaam kar rakha hai.
Zalak (losing her calm): Sid ke liye bilkul nahi matlab? Avni ne kya chori kar li aapki jo aese bartav hai aapka uske taraf?
Vibha (angrily): Kitni zubaan chal rahi hai tumhari. Tumhe dikh nahi raha Avneet ke sath ek bachi hai?
Zalak: Bachi hai? To kya uski shaadi nahi hogi?
Vibha: Hogi na maine kab kaha nahi hogi? Divorcy, Widow kisi ke sath kar sakti hai. Bas mere bete ko chor de.
Zalak: Divorcy and Widow? Avni ke pass jo bachi hai vo uske bhai bhabhi ki beti hai. Vo beti hai jisme aapke bete ki jaan basti hai. Vo kisi aur se shaadi kar le. Wo nhi maanega kbhi bhi. Aur aap zabardasti mana bhi lo to aapko kya lagta hai Sid khush rahe payega? Kabhi dekha hai aapne kitna pyaar karta hai Sid Avni aur Hazel se?
Vibha: Pyaar vyaar sab bolne wali baate hai. Shaadi ke baad pyaar ho jata hai. Dekh tere papa aur main shaadi se pehle ek baar mile the. Kya humare bich pyaar nahi? Acha ladka aur ladki dekh tum dono ki shaadi kara dugi. Shaadi ke baad samay ke sath pyaar ho jayega. Aur itna sun le. Avneet meri bahu kabhi nahi banegi. Mujhe samaj me naat nahi katani.
Just then Ram came there. Before he could understand or react.
Zalak (trying to be calm): Maa meri aur Avni ki life same thi. Maa, baap aur ek bhai. Bhai bada tha to uski shaadi ke baad bhabhi aur unki ek beti. Ye life jo meri hai and future me hogi. Kal ko maa bhagwaan na kare Sid ko kuch hua aur uske bache main sambhalungi mein? To kya tab bhi aap yehi bolegi? Yehi samaj ka sochegi? Aap tab mere liye bhi aese Widow and Divorcy dhundne ki salah degi? Ya koi lady aese mujhe bole to? Aap-
Before she could continue. Vibha's flex worked and she slapped Zalak hard. This act shocked Zalak, Ram and Vibha as well.
Ram rushed in.
Ram (angrily): Vibha ye kya kiya?
Vibha (coming out of shock): Dekho kaise iski jubaan kaichi ki tarah chal rahi hai. Kya anaab shanaab bake jaa rahi hai. Kyun hoga mere bacho ko kuch?
Tears roll down her cheeks.
Zalak (with tears in her eyes and a sad smile on her lips): Maa... Aapko apne bacho ke liye sunna tak sehn nahi hua. Aapke pote poti... Hai kaun, kab aayege, kaise hoge hume to koi andaaza tak nahi hai. But koi aur in sab situations me hai. To aapko samaj ki padi hai. Maine to bola sahi galat sirf soch hai logo ki. Kisi aur ki beti is situation me hai to aapka apne bete se shaadi karana galat hai. Yehi aapki beti par aayi to sahi.
Vibha stood numb listening to her words. She walked into her room once Zalak completed her.
Once, Vibha left. Zalak turned to her father and hugged him. She sobbed.
Ram (caressing Zalak's hair): Bas bache. Tu bhi gusse me kitna kuch bol gayi. Teri maa ko gussa aayega na.
Zalak (breaking the hug): Nahi papa mujhe thappar padne ka koi dukh nahi. Maa ko haq hai. Mujhe dukh unke words ka hua. Avni ke liye jis tarah bole jaa rahi thi. In sab Avni ki kya galati? Aaj agar uske bhai bhabhi hote. Hazel to unke sath rehti. Tab Avni perfect ho gayi Sid ke lie par Hazel ke hone se Avni perfect nahi.
Ram (kissing her forehead): Itna tension na le. Maan jayegi Vibha. Jaa ab hath muh dhole aur kuch kha le.
Zalak nodded. Ram wiped her tears. She walked into her room.
