After bidding goodbye to Avu and Hazel, Sid also went towards the parking lot. He saw Akshit also coming there.
Sid: Hii...umm thanks for taking care of Hazel today. Suddenly they called me for a meeting and I had to go
Akshit shooked his head.
Akshit: It's nothing, bro. Maybe I and Avni aren't together anymore doesn't mean she means anything to me. And about Hazel. Of course, I love spending time with her. I really like her
Sid smiled and nodded.
Sid: Akshit do you anywhere regret breaking up with her?
Akshit smiled and shooked his head.
Akshit: Not at all. Definitely mujhe dukh hota hai. I still love her a lot. Aaj bhi I want us to be together. Aesa lagta hai kaash koi aesa tareeka nikal aaye ki hum dono saath ho jaaye. But not at the cost of Hazel. Mein apne lie uss bachi ki life kharab kardoo. Ye mein nhi kar sakta tha. I can sacrifice my love for her. Honestly, I am proud of myself for this decision. Ek bhoj sa tha mann par when I was dating her ki mein Hazel ko waise accept nhi kar paaoonga aur Avni ko hum mein se kisi ek ko chunna hoga jo mein kbhi chahta bhi nhi tha. Aur chahe mujhe jitna bhi iss break up se hurt kyu na hua ho wo bhoj utar gya and no I don't regret it one bit. And of course, I chose my family over her because wo nhi accept krte Avneet ko and I couldn't fight with them. And she has her family that is Hazel and about me. I am always there for her
Sid didn't have any answer to his words. So he just nodded.
Sid: Okk then see you tomorrow
Akshit: Ya sure. Bye
Sid took his bike and left for home. He parked the bike in the garage and rang the doorbell. Zalak opened the door.
Zalak: Hii Siddoo. How was your day today?
Sid: Ya it was fine di
He said in a bit off tone which Zalak noticed.
Zalak: Sure?
Sid: Ya. Why?
Zalak gave a small smile and shooked her head.
Zalak: Nothing. Just like that. Jaoo fresh up ho jaoo. Mom ne dinner bana lia hai. I will set the table till then
Sid: Okk. I will be back in just a few minutes
Zalak nodded. Sid went into his room and Zalak shut the door behind him and went into the kitchen. Sid came after getting fresh and they all had dinner. Then Vibha went to the kitchen to set everything.
Zalak: Sid
Sid: Yups?
Zalak: Walk ke lie chale?
Sid: Hnn why not? Chalo
Zalak: Papa hum aate hai thodi der mein
Ram: Okk. Sure
He replied watching tv.
Sid: Come
They both went out and were walking in their colony park. Sid was walking with his hands in his pocket and thinking about something. Zalak was noticing him.
Zalak: Kya ho gya Siddoo?
Sid: Hnn? Nothing
Zalak: Nhi you are lost somewhere. I mean you can share with me if there is some problem
Sid shooked his head.
Sid: Problem to koi nhi hai di. It's just I was thinking about someone
Zalak: Someone? Koi ladki hai kya?
Sid: Aapko kaise pata?
Zalak: I am your elder sister okk? To kon hai wo jis par mere bhai ka dil aaya hai
Sid: Kya? Aap bhi kuch bhi bolte ho. Aesa kuch nhi hai
Zalak: Achha? Don't lie hnn?
Sid: Arre nhi. I was thinking about Avneet. Like kisiki life mein itna saara dukh kaise ho sakta hai. And how strongly she is handling everything. Like I am too impressed. Itne sab ke baad bhi she is standing without any fall
Zalak: Ya I know. I mean all of a sudden itna sab hua. Kbhi socha bhi nhi hoga usne. Not even in her worst of dreams she would have thought her bhayia bhabhi would leave her
Sid: Ya and also her boyfriend broke up with her recently
Zalak: Oh
Sid shared about Akshit and Avu with her.
Sid: Honestly when I got to I felt too bad. Like how can God be so cruel to someone? Itna kaise God can test someone di? What has she ever done to someone?
He stopped walking and said looking at her with tears in his eyes.
Zalak: Sid
It came out like a mere whisper. She kept her hand on his arm.
Zalak: Sid you alright?
Sid: I don't know di. Wo itni achhi hai. But God is testing her so much. Why? Pehle uske parents. Fir bhayia bhabhi. Then the boy she loved so much. Sab usse chhod kar chale gaye. Doesn't she deserve any happiness?
Zalak: Siddharth
She said caressing his arms consoling him as he started sobbing thinking about how much pain is that young girl going through. He bit his lips to stop his sobs. Zalak was noticing him and tried to comprehend whether it was just a friendly concern and sympathy or something else. He calmed down and wiped his tears. They walked towards home silently leaving Zalak with her thoughts.
