Sunrise, Spring 1953, Nursery, Ancient White Cats Tribe

As Millie was placed down by Daffodil her eyes gazed up at King Michael. He didn't look too happy for some reason.

King Michael looked down at Daffodil and Millie. They had quiet pawsteps apparently. He padded down off his throne.

"What do you need? I'm all ears" King Michael asked.

"Can I let my kitten Daisy get the ticks off the elders?" Daffodil asked.

"Is this a punishment or did she want to do this?" King Michael asked.

"A punishment. She was acting up" Daffodil replied.

"Kittens these days. It's approved" King Michael said. "Let her deal with the elders. It'll give the trainees less work"

"Alright" Daffodil said as she picked up Millie in her jaws and walked away from the palace.

She finally arrived at the nursery and placed Millie down. Millie turned away from Daisy.

Daisy tilted her head in confusion. Why did Millie turn away from her. She tried to walk over to her sister.

Daffodil stood in between Millie and Daisy. Their mother gave the bad kitten a scornful look and flattened her ears.

"Daisy, I have talked with King Michael and the elders" Daffodil said in a stern voice. "I think Tigertooth needs his ticks removed"

Daisy flattened her ears. How dare Daffodil give her an unpleasant task. How dare the elders not reject her mother.

How dare King Michael accept Daffodil's request. She stood up and gave her mother a scornful look.

"You think you can give me stuff that the trainees can do?" Daisy asked with pride. "Well you can't. You can't make me"

"I did it because you were acting up!" Daffodil hissed. "King Michael approved of it. I would never let you do any other extreme punishment like clean the dirt pile or pick out rotten prey"

Daisy hissed, growled and grumbled under her breath. Daffodil was not pleased with her daughter's behavior.

"I can ask King Michael if you deserve more punishments" Daffodil hissed. "Please go to the elders den and deal with Tigertooth. He might give you a story"

"Oh yes a story! Bye mom!" Daisy yelled with joy as she bounded out of the nursery. Millie stared at the outside of the nursery.

She stared at the open Ancient White Cats camp, longing to explore and maybe get a story from the elders herself.

"Can I go with Daisy? I want to hear a story from the elders" Millie said with pleading eyes.

"This is Daisy's punishment. I don't want her distracted" Daffodil said. "Maybe when Daisy returns I'll let you go see the elders"

Millie's tail swished with joy under her sitting body. She can't wait to hear a story from the elders.

Especially Tigertooth. The oldest elder in the elder den. He always had the best stories and the most experience in the Ancient White Cats Tribe.

"I have a high doubt that Tigertooth will give Daisy a story" Daffodil said. "He's pretty grumpy around kittens. Especially disobedient ones"

Daisy stomped over to them, completed with the tick job. She flopped over on her mossy nest, not wanting to be disturbed.

"Seems like the tick job took a toll on you" Millie teased.

"Oh shut it. Try to be in my paws for a change" Daisy snarled.

"Daisy you need to be more nicer to your sister" Daffodil said. "You have been acting rude to her lately and it is unacceptable"

The sun slowly started to rise further up into the sky. Daisy had no mood in talking or even playing games with Millie.

"It seems Leo is moving further up to watch us" Daffodil said. "And Breezeblaze doesn't seem so mad either"

"Who are you taking about?" Millie asked.

"Nothing. Leo made her born without a brain" Daisy said.

"First of all you better watch who you're talking too" Daffodil snapped. "And secondly I'm mentioning the gods"

"Oh right. Leo's that big lion that guards where we live" Millie said. "Purple Wolf's that big winged wolf that guards Kyoto"

"And Breezeblaze's the big black striped cat that guards Osaka" Daffodil said as she nodded.

"I wish it was tomorrow so that we can become trainees" Daisy complained.

Millie poked her gently on her shoulder. "You worry too much. Tomorrow will come soon enough" She promised.
