Dawn, Spring 1953, Herbal grounds, Ancient White Cats Tribe
Millie followed Frosty Flowers to a more beautiful looking area. The scent of herbs and flowers filling the air.
"This is the herbal grounds. This is only an example of what I'll be teaching you for helping" Frosty Flowers said.
Millie took a quick look at all the rocks that were just coated with moss and a clean looking pond beside it with lily pads in it.
"True warriors not only hunt and fight for their kingdom but they must also help each other" Frosty Flowers explained.
Millie looked at all the moss, herbs and flowers that made the area look so beautiful.
"I need you to do a task" Frosty Flowers said. "The healer needs some more herbs since she's running low"
"What herbs does she need?" Millie said as she padded to the patch of herbs.
"She needs more catmint and lavender" Frosty Flowers said. "This is your first task"
Millie padded over to where all the herbs were growing. She smelled some mint like plants and instantly realized it was catmint.
The mint scent was tempting Millie to eat it, but she knew the herb wasn't for her. She gently picked up the catmint by the stem.
Frosty Flowers gave a nod of approval. More probably because Millie didn't eat it as soon as the mint scent hit her.
Millie was trying her hardest not to eat the catmint. She was struggling, but Frosty Flowers didn't bother to help.
This was Millie's task after all. She was just being tested to see if she's responsible or not.
"Now go to the healer den and give it to the healer" Frosty Flowers commanded. "If the healer isn't there just put it on the shelf"
Millie trotted over away from the territory and back to the main camp. Daffodil gave her a small smile.
Millie gave it to the healer but as soon as she returned, King Michael called for a meeting. Millie and Frosty Flowers went to the meeting place.
King Michael looked confused. "So one of our warriors would like to make a quick announcement I guess" He said as he stepped aside.
A white cat stood forward. "I have some bad news" He said. "I was told by the gods that I have to leave"
Millie tilted her head. Who was this cat? Why did he have to leave?
"I'm going to quit being a warrior and just live my life as either a rogue or a pet" The cat said.
Millie looked behind her and Daffodil was shaking with tears. She was confused. Why was this cat trying to leave.
King Michael tilted his head but didn't question it further. "Sunrise by request, we can no longer call you a warrior. We can only address you as a rogue. You will no longer follow the path the gods expected of you. You will follow the path of a rogue or a pet. All members of the kingdom, do you have any words for him?"
"Traitor! I thought you loved me!" Daffodil cried out. Millie's eyes widen. Did Sunrise and Daffodil love each other?
"Sunrise, do you have any words?" King Michael asked.
"I only wish I could have been a better father for my two kittens" Sunrise said.
"Then it is settled. You will leave the Ancient White Cats tribe and become a rogue. Leave and never return" King Michael said sternly.
Sunrise then got off the rock and left the kingdom camp. Millie was confused and padded to Daffodil.
"Where are you going?" Frosty Flowers asked.
"I need to talk to my mom for a second" Millie said.
Millie walked to her mother who was shaking with tears. Something definitely isn't right.
"Mom, I'm going to ask you something and you need to tell me the truth, because lying won't get you out of this" Millie said. "I think I know the answer already but...are you and Sunrise...mates?"
Daffodil let out a shaky sigh. "Yes...me and Sunrise were mates" She said through tears.
Millie sighed and composed herself. "T-then is he..." She trailed off so Daffodil could finish the sentence.
"Yes Millie..." Daffodil said. "Sunrise was your father..."
