Dawn, Spring 1953, Trainee den, Ancient White Cats Tribe

Millie was sleeping until she felt a paw press on her fur. She opened her eyes and noticed it was Frosty Flowers.

"We have to do a tour of the territories" Frosty Flowers said. "And I'm going to speed up training today and we'll do our first hunting lesson"

Millie smiled and Frosty Flowers flicked her tail as a signal for the trainee to follow her to the first spot.

"So obviously the big giant area is our territory" Frosty Flowers said. "Over there is obviously the camp. That big limb over there is the border. It borders us from the other tribes. There are other main parts of our territory like the hunting area, the training area and the herb area"

Millie followed Frosty Flowers to the hunting area. It was filled with small animals like squirrels and birds chirping (apart from King Robin who somehow made it to become king of Ancient Forest).

"Here is the hunting area. Let's start our lesson in hunting." Frosty Flowers said. "I'm going to start by teaching you hunting positions and how to stalk your prey without making noise"

Millie smiled and waited to know what the first step was.

"First, you scan the area for any signs of movement" Frosty Flowers said. "Prey are quick on their feet, but you could be quicker"

Millie scanned the area. Suddenly, a cute little squirrel rustled and jumped out of the bushes.

"Second, you keep your eyes fixed on your prey at all times" Frosty Flowers whispered. Millie locked her gaze on the squirrel.

Suddenly, Frosty Flowers pushed Millie down into a crouching position. Millie let out a soft gasp.

"This is the hunter's position. Now you can blend in easily" Frosty Flowers said. "Maintain eye contact with your prey as you do this. Now, check your area for any crunchy leaves, sticks or anything else that can make noise"

Millie scanned the ground below her for anything like a stick. She gently moved a small twig away.

"Now, make a couple steps towards the prey and just pray to the gods it doesn't hear you and start running" Frosty Flowers said.

Millie started making two pawsteps towards the squirrel, her eyes locked on it at all times.

"Now, unsheathe your claws"

Millie unsheathed her claws. It made a sharp sound but the squirrel didn't hear it apparently.

"Now, whenever you're ready...pounce!" Frosty Flowers was still quiet when she yelled.

With a mighty bolt of force, Millie leaped in the air to aim directly at the squirrel. The cute furry creature ran as fast as it could.

Millie was getting closer and closer to the ground, allowing her body to glide so she could reach the squirrel.

The squirrel tried to jump into the hole in a tree trunk, but Millie was so close. Her jaws crunch on the squirrel's neck and her claws scratch the squirrel's side.

The squirrel was good as dead. Millie picked up the dead body of the squirrel and placed it at Frosty Flowers' paws.

"Awesome job Millie! Now, bring the prey to the prey pile and come back here" Frosty Flowers said.

Millie, happy she caught her first prey, brought it over to the prey pile. King Michael and Tigertooth saw her.

"First catch ey? I remember when I caught my first eagle!" Tigertooth said.

"No really, the bird was massive" King Michael said. "We could eat that for a few days"

"My word I'm proud of you!" Daffodil's voice was heard as she left the warrior den. She touched noses with Millie.

"Thanks mom! Frosty Flowers is a great teacher" Millie said.

"Well I guess I should leave it to you then" Daffodil said. "Check on Daisy for me when you can"

"Okay I will" Millie said as she walked to Frosty Flowers.

"Alright, follow me to the training area so we can learn how to fight" Frosty Flowers said.

Millie followed her to the training area so they can learn how to fight. She looked behind her and Daisy was in a hunter's crouch, probably learning how to hunt.

She watched a little as she saw Daisy stalking a vole. But then she shook off her staring and continued to follow Frosty Flowers.
