Sunrise, Spring 1953, Ancient White Cats Camp, Ancient White Cats Tribe, Ancient Forest, Tokyo, Japan

Millie's ears were flattened as a beautiful female white cat was cleaning her and another kitten.

The beautiful cat's licks gradually went from soft to harsh and almost ripping out her fur.

"Mom, you're ripping out my fur!" Millie complained.

"Yeah, me too! You're cleaning us too rough!" The other kitten said.

"I'm trying to get the dirt off you" Their mother said. "You know better than to go off without me or a warrior"

Millie grumbled. "We were doing just fine until Daisy had to attack those two rabbits"

"Hey! I was protecting the tribe!" Daisy yelled. "They could have been rogues or trespassers!"

"I appreciate your bravery but we don't need a kitten to die" Their mother said. "I care about you. I care about you a whole lot"

"When will we be trainees? I want to learn how to hunt and fight!" Daisy asked, changing the subject.

"Daisy! You can't go around changing the subject like that!" Their mother said. "You will be trainees when King Michael says you can"

Daisy's ears flattened. "Well I can't wait to leave this dump" She said.

Their mother rolled their eyes. "I don't want to lose you so fast. In time you will both be a trainee"

King Michael stood proudly on the meeting place. It was a large rock. He looked up to the sky, and then back at the tribe.

"What's King Michael doing?" Millie asked.

"Not sure. He's probably getting ready to announce the meeting" Their mother said.

"Meeting! All Ancient White Cats from the youngest kitten to the oldest elder gather for the meeting!" King Michael yelled.

All the cats left their dens to the meeting. The elders, warriors, and trainees left to gather.

Millie and Daisy's mother got up. "Follow" She said. Millie and Daisy got up and followed their mother.

They sat beside a beautiful long haired female cat. She was staring up at King Michael.

"Tonight is going to be a traditional night" King Michael said. "We are going to gather with the other tribes and discuss how we are doing"

"Can we go? Please?" Millie asked.

"No. The rule is that no young animals are allowed to go until they reached the age of a trainee" Their mother said.

Millie and Daisy's ears both flattened. They wanted to go, but they are too young to go. They thought it wasn't fair.

"First, we need to announce that we need a princess to help me rule the tribe" King Michael said. "She will rule until I give birth to a son or daughter. When I have one my kitten will be the new prince or princess"

The warriors perked their ears with anticipation along with the elders and Millie and Daisy's mother.

They wanted to know who the new princess with be, and they were hoping King Michael will make the right choice.

King Michael scanned the tribe and pointed at the beautiful female long haired cat that Millie and Daisy were sitting next to.

"Frosty Flowers, you have proven great loyalty to the Ancient White Cats" King Michael said. "I believe you will make a great princess. When Breezeblaze takes my spirit to the Spirit Realm and I become one of the stars, you will make a great queen. Until I have a son or daughter, you will become the princess"

"Frosty Flowers! Princess of the Ancient White Cats!" The tribe cheered. Frosty Flowers looked astonished.

King Michael looked at Frosty Flowers. "Come sit with me on the meeting place" He said.

Frosty Flowers stood forward and sat next to King Michael on the meeting place. The beautiful long haired cat looked over her tribe.

The Ancient White Cats bowed before her and King Michael.

"Long live Frosty Flowers! Princess of the Ancient White Cats! Long live King Michael! King of the Ancient White Cats!" The cats cheered.

"Meeting dismissed. Decide if you want to come to the gathering or not" King Michael said.

Daisy and Millie raced back to the nursery with their mother following behind them slowly.

Frosty Flowers looked at the beautiful cat and followed her. Her long fur almost touched the grass.

As their mother laid down in the nursery, half burying Millie and Daisy, Frosty Flowers stopped at the entrance.

"Hey Daffodil, are you coming to the gathering?" Frosty Flowers asked. "I'm pretty sure there are lots of youngsters for your kittens to play with"

"Yeah! Can we mom?" Daisy asked. "Please?"

"No. Not after what happened today" Daffodil said. "I need you to stay with me in the nursery"

Frosty Flowers padded away as Millie and Daisy both flattened their ears.
