Weapon. Announcement. Night. Yeah, that much time had passed already. Chairman issued a notice, held an assembly, the AEI became buzzing with excitement, the city grew lively with anticipation, you got even more interview requests and media appearances––it was safe to say that things were busy for the past two weeks.

"Surprisingly, this dress is pretty comfortable to move around in."

As of right now you were walking alongside Lyle on your way to where the weapon announcement was being held. You ran into him by pure coincidence.

"Why'd you choose a dress?"

You glanced over to Lyle. Suits on muscular men were always an amazing sight. And with his purple hair slightly slicked back? The red tie matching his eyes? Sensational.

"For formalities." You did a twirl. "And also looking hot in a dress sounds nice to me. The announcement is getting broadcasted across the city."

You wished you could've worn heels to further elevate the attire, but you have not mastered the art of engaging in life or death battles in heels yet. Cecil definitely could, though.

Lyle narrowed his eyes. "You're beginning to act like Cecil."

"Happens to the best of us."

So where were you two headed specifically? Where was the weapon announcement held?

At the AEI building. AKA, very close to where the TDD's lab is located. At first glance, it made sense. A weapon announcement near where the weapons were created, duh. However, it basically gave easy access to kill two birds in one stone for those who were looking to interrupt the announcement.

The chairman was self aware, he knew there were those who opposed him. So, clearly, this was a 'what the hell is the chairman thinking' moment. Honestly, not even you knew the answer.

Those thoughts were set aside upon your arrival at the venue. It wasn't busy nor has anything started yet since SF members were instructed to come early. You saw staff members still getting tables set up, technicians checking on the lights, and so forth. Plus, in person attendants were restricted to selected members; division leaders and vice leaders, the SF team, government members, and sponsors that contributed generously to the AEI's funding.

But wow the space looked polished. You felt like the air just grew ten times more expensive when you walked in. The combination of black, grey white, and an unsaturated blue provided a very mature and sophisticated atmosphere.

I can feel my posture improving simply by existing here.

"Elias needs me for something," Lyle said. "I'll be off."

"You're leaving me???"

Lyle rolled his eyes and immediately ditched you, much to your despair. Just when you were going to lament about having no company, you heard Caleb's voice.

"Miss Support! Look who's all prettied up." He practically skipped over to you. "What a coincidence that we ran into each other, huh? Guess we have no choice but to stick together until the end of the announcement."

Caleb's hair was as fluffy as usual, but you could tell he had tried parting it to the side with gel, but gave up halfway. A look that is a fine line between professional and 'I just got out of bed'.

You crossed your arm, an amused hum on the tip of your tongue. "Wow, a coincidence. It wasn't like you spammed me with messages asking whether or not I was ready."

Fun fact, you heard through Elias that Caleb would sometimes time when you'd walk through certain hallways so he could 'accidentally' bump into you. The thought was hilarious and adorable.
