THE DAY BEGAN LIKE ANY OTHER, with sunlight gently streaming through your bedroom window, casting a warm glow over your room. You stretched, your muscles waking up with you, and for a moment, everything felt peaceful—a brief pocket of calm before the usual chaos of school set in. You got ready, your mind already spinning with thoughts about the day ahead. A pop quiz, hanging out with Izuku after class, and maybe some time to plan for the weekend.
Breakfast was quiet, just you and your older brother. Your father had already left for work, as always. You and your brother made light conversation, talking about mundane things—school, friends, and weekend plans that hadn't quite solidified yet. There was something comforting about the routine, something that grounded you.
The school day passed quickly, a blur of classes, conversations, and the occasional distraction. When you arrived at school, you fell into the familiar rhythm of greeting classmates, exchanging smiles, and settling into your seat. Izuku, as expected, was already absorbed in his notebook, furiously jotting down notes about heroes. You smiled to yourself, feeling a quiet sense of pride for your friend. His dedication was inspiring.
Lunch came and went, and soon the rest of the day flew by. You attended all your classes, actively participated in discussions, and even aced a pop quiz in math. Despite all of this, there was a nagging feeling of unease in the back of your mind, but you couldn't quite place it.
As the final bell rang, signalling the end of the school day, you gathered your things and prepared to head out with Izuku. However, before you could leave together, Izuku was called to the principal's office to discuss his future plans. Not wanting to head home just yet, you decided to wait for him. You returned to your empty classroom, taking a seat and absentmindedly doodling in your notebook while the sounds of students filtering out of the building faded in the distance.
It was peaceful—almost too peaceful—until the door to the classroom suddenly flew open with a loud slam. Startled, you looked up to see Bakugo standing in the doorway, his expression dark with anger and frustration.
"Hey, extra," he growled, his voice cutting through the stillness as he stormed toward you.
You raised an eyebrow, surprised by his sudden appearance and even more surprised that he was confronting you. "Bakugo? What do you want?"
He stopped in front of your desk, his hands clenched into fists, as if he were holding something back. "I need to talk to you," he snapped, his voice low but laced with frustration.
