Falling for a girl
oh, it's never easy.
It's usually a thrill:
amazing and dizzying.
It can be full of joy
and can also be so scary.
You thought that you liked boys,
so it got you feeling weary. You want to tell your friends,
but you're afraid they'll hate you,
you wonder what they'll say,
you wonder if they'll save you
once your secret is no longer
just a whisper in the dark,
once the flowers have grown older
and they won't get their youth back.So you carry all that pain,
you carry it all alone,
tryna make it fade away,
tryna make the feelings go.
Know you'll never get to that,
but you'll always keep on trying.
After all, if you give up,
you might never stop crying. But the feelings never fade,
it's already been some months
and everytime you see a nice girl
you start thinking: "oh, she's hot."
So you're trembling as you say:
"I think I might be in love,
in love with another girl.
That's so crazy, yeah, I know!"Then you see a smile appearing,
broad and bright, in your friend's face.
"It's quite normal that you feel this,
there's nothing wrong with being gay."
So, at the end, it didn't matter,
if you liked boys or you liked girls;
we all live, we all drink water,
we all love and that's okay. And I really hope this helps you
understand what you should do.
After all, I know it's painful
when you find out what's the truth.
How do I know?, you might be asking.
Well, just the same way that you do.
Yes, in case you're wondering:
'cause I fell for a girl, too.
