"I'm going to have to tell your father Xie. If the school finds out that I've been keeping your health records from your father I'll be fired"

Xie gritted her teeth. "Just keep doing it like you have. Please.." Xie pled and the nurse shook her head. "Sorry Xie. I can't keep it up" She said as she opened the parents register.

Xie felt her heart drop when she saw the nurse with the register. She clutched her shaking hands together. "I-If you tell my father...I'll.. I'll kill myself!"

The nurse paused and looked at her. She saw how fast she was panting and how her body shook.
"You'll do no such Xie" She said.

Xie gulped when she heard her words.
"I will!" She yelled and took the scissors that was in her open first aid box.

"I'll kill myself and you'll be responsible!" She yelled. The nurse's eyes widened. She stood up from she chair. "Calm down Xie. Drop the scissors, let's use our words okay?" She softly said.

"Only if you promise me that you won't tell my father. He doesn't need to know about me..he won't take it well" Xie said as tears filled her eyes.

The nurse sighed when she saw Xie's glossy eyes.
She nodded. "Okay.. Don't hurt yourself. I won't call him but..you have to tell me how you keep getting injured—

Xie placed the scissors on her neck making her to stop talking. "Fine Fine, I won't ask. Okay? It will be between us" The nurse gently said.

Xie licked her lips nervously as she slowly dropped the scissors. The nurse quickly closed the first aid box as she looked at Xie.

"Don't scare me like that Xie"

"As long as you don't tell my father a word.."
She muttered and turned around. She saw the boy looking at them by the door.

His eyes widened when he saw Xie looking at him.
"I- I.. uh I didn't hear anything- I swear. I just got here– I won't tell anyone- wait there's nothing to tell anyone, I didn't hear anything—

Xie walked past him, her shoulder hitting his as she walked away. The boy rubbed his shoulder as he watched her storm out.

Zhanghao looked at Xie through the mirror with a gentle on his face. "I still wonder why you enjoy brushing my hair"

Xie chuckled. "What? Not everyone gets to brush a hair as lustrous as yours" She said and Zhanghao laughed as he playfully hit her leg.

"Tonight's style will be a low bun. Look you're already pretty" Xie said rubbing Zhanghao long hair. Zhanghao turned after she was done tying his hair.

"Looks good. Hmm not bad. So miss, how much will this be?" He asked and Xie rubbed her chin as she playfully thought.

"A good visit to the Thai restaurant that just opened up" She said and Zhanghao scoffed. "I knew it. Someone was fishy. No wonder you brushed my hair twice today"

Xie laughed and hugged Zhanghao, rubbing her cheek against his. "You look so cute daddy" she said and Zhanghao scoffed.

"Yah, you can stop with the flatter. We'll go tomorrow" He said with a smile. Xie pecked his cheek grinned. "You're the best"

"Okay okay, go to your room, It's time for bed—
Zhanghao stopped when his phone began to ring.

Xie got off Zhanghao when she saw who was calling him. "Xie..Come and talk to him" Zhanghao said but Xie ignored him as she walked to the door.

"Xie." Zhanghao called making her stop.

"I said, Come and talk to him" He strictly said. Xie rolled her tongue against her cheek as she turned with a frown. She took the phone out of Zhanghao's hand and walked out of his room.

"Xie?" Hanbin called and Xie looked down with the phone on her ear. "Yeah?" She quietly answered.

She heard Hanbin's sigh through the phone.
"Don't tell me you're still angry baby, I said I'll soon be back. I just need to be done—

"With this project. Isn't it dad?" She completed his words making Hanbin keep quiet. Hanbin sighed yet again. "Xie...Work is really hard over here. I'm trying my best to be done—

"It doesn't seem like you're trying at all. Until when will you keep Daddy hanging on a thread? If you aren't coming back ever then make it clear.

I don't want you to keep playing games Dad. Not for me but for Daddy. He really needs you here. I can hold on but Daddy can't"

Hanbin kept quiet and clicked his tongue.
"Don't be angry Xie–

"Stop telling me to not be angry Dad. I'm angry because I can't..because I can't help it" she said, feeling her voice crack.

Hanbin could here her voice crack and rubbed his forehead. "Don't cry Xie." He said and Xie went quiet over the phone as her tears fell from her eyes.

"Stop all these..I'm the one having to hear Daddy cry in the night..he's so lonely Dad. I'm tired of seeing...I'm of seeing him put up a smile like he's alright.

If you're tired of being a family.. then make it clear. I don't care about me, just don't hurt daddy"
Xie said and ended the call. She dropped the phone as she cried to herself.

Zhanghao stared at her door after hearing all she said to Hanbin. He took his hand away from the door knob and turned as he walked away.
